“Mac & Cheese!!! ”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 August 2014 via mobile

Stopped in here on a rainy day and was pleasantly surprised. The drinks were carefully crafted and delicious! The Mac and cheese is amazing and my husband loved the siracha wings although they were a little too spicy for me. The bar is comfortable but small.

“Good hotel bar”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2014

We were staying at the Harbor View Hotel, so to enjoy the porch and its view to the fullest, we took drinks and food at Henry's two nights in a row.
We had the shrimp gambas as appetizers on both night, it was delicious!
I had mussels the first time which i enjoyed and Fish and Frites the next day that I didn't like too much, missing some flavors and cooking time. He had the Ribeye and frites both nights so i'm guessing he enjoyed it!
Great way to enjoy the view in the hotel! Nice staff.
The inside space seemed also very cozy.

“Great Lunch Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 May 2014

Flew in to the Vineyard for lunch on a Monday afternoon. The menu has an interesting offering with everything sourced from farm to table, fresh ingredients. The service we received from David was excellent, friendly and extremely attentive, which for the islands tends to be hit or miss. Nice view, also. The hotel itself was well appointed and appeared to be a relaxing place to spend a long weekend. If you're a pilot flying into the island and looking for a more upscale experience away from the airport restaurant, it's a great option that's close-by.

“Good "Pub" with great view”

The bar is at the Harbor View Hotel in a pub like setting with a nice bar and good menu. The wait staff and bartender were excellent, the food was good. Highly recommend.

“Off Season Apathy”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 April 2014

I don't know if the entire Island of Martha's Vineyard is just off it's game during the off season, but this place certainly was! With so many restaurants not open yet at the end of April, we reluctantly went to the tiny Henry's Hotel Bar at the famed Harbor View Hotel. There were two waiters covering the tables and manning the busy bar. The hostess was running ragged trying to keep diners happy. There was a man in a suit, complete with name tag, who we presumed was a manager of some sort, although he did nothing but play with the television and get in the way of the harried wait staff.

We were seated promptly, as we were dining on the early side, but were left at the table for 10 mins before being greeted by our waiter. The menu looked promising, and the specials sounded great. We ordered a mussel dish, cooked in curry with lamb merguez to start. Ghastly. The mussels were sandy & overcooked and the flavor bizarre. I wouldn't eat them as they turned my stomach. The raw oysters, locally farmed, were excellent. We should have stuck with those! I loved the Shrimp Gambas on the Small Plates Menu and my husband's Lemon Gnocchi was superb.

We did not linger for coffee, dessert, & an after dinner drink as the crowds of people waiting to be seated were claustrophobia inducing. So were the stacks of dishes, utensils, and glasses that crowded our tiny pub style table. It was the Hostess, actually who cleared our table. We got the sense she was the only one in the place who knew what she was doing. Wish I got her name. Why the Hotel did not have the larger restaurant open is beyond me. Again, I can only believe that Off Season is NOT the time to be on this Island.
