We have been coming to the Charlotte Inn for many years and have dined at all the restaurants that have had the privilege of being a part of that special experience the Inn offers. I have to say the The Terrace restaurant is one of the best. Chef Justin Melnick has created a menu of classic American cuisine that has something for every taste. He also makes it a point to come in to the restaurant to meet the diners, something chefs these days rarely do but should. So far we have tried everything on the menu, and not once disappointed. Our favorites include the Lobster Bisque that was creamy with large chunks of lobster and the Ribeye steak that was done perfectly as requested. The price points were surprisingly reasonable for Edgartown and that says a lot in a place where swordfish and steak can easily top $50 per plate. But on top the great food, the dining room at the Charlotte Inn is undoubtedly one of the prettiest and most unique on the entire Island -- filled with art and English antiques. Cannot say enough good things about this new gem in Edgartown's dining experience.
