“Weird fish dish and high prices”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 August 2014

We were staying at the resort so it was the onsite fine dining option. For the high prices ($38 entrees) I would expect a higher caliber of service and better finessed dishes (service wasn't bad, but not at a level you expect for this price). I had the halibut, which was for some reason floating in broth with soggy dumplings and big, difficult to manage chunks of bok choy. It was not a well-conceived dish. Others in our party fared better with the salmon.

“Nice Experience”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

This is a lovely restaurant with a lovely staff. The restaurant is situated on top of the Winnetu Resort. We were warmly greeted by the restaurant manager and the waitress. Onto the food:

Sushi appetizer - good but too much seaweed salad. Also the sashimi was seasoned with spices - good but not true sashimi.
Goat cheese salad - delicious
Salmon - very tasty
Tuna - very tasty
Berry cobbler - very tasty.

The dessert offerings are lacking. The hubby wasn't thrilled with any of the options. All in all this was a very pleasant experience.

“Delicious Food in a Beautiful Spot”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 August 2014

We absolutely loved the Lure! The food was delicious, the location and view were great, and the service was superb. We had our grand father (who is on oxygen) with us, and the stairs were not going to be good for him. The hostess immediately met him at the bottom of the stairs and personally escorted him up the elevator and to our table. Then, we asked for a little more of a particular kind of bread, and they came out with a whole, freshly-baked batch of it! Plus, at the end of our meal the chef came out to make sure everything was okay. It is also a great spot for picture taking and just enjoying the beautiful ocean and surroundings. And tip: the menu is a bit formal (not terribly), but if you are looking for lighter fare just ask to see the bar menu. This was our first time going here for dinner, and I can confidently say that we will be returning!!

“Pleasantly Surprised”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014 via mobile

We had been instructed to visit this restaurant by two different sets of relatives who had both gone while visiting in the last month. They suggested we sit in the bar area, which we did and try the lobster salad sandwich which I did....delicious and HUGE. Being from Maine I am critical of anything having to do with eating lobster. It was very fresh and filled with a lot of meat. I also had the chowder, it was adequate. My daughter, upon arriving decided she had to have root beer.....she rarely has soda and never RB. But the hostess ( I think her name was Dodi) went out of her way searching for a RB. Our waitress Lindsay was also accommodating and friendly. The two of them really made the dinner very enjoyable. We were also told to try the chicken. We have chicken quite a bit but my husband ordered it and was pleased. The other item ordered was the chicken fingers...huge amount and tender and juicy.
We would highly recommend.
