The location is great with beautiful views and within walking distance to the center of Edgartown. The staff was very friendly and attentive. We had our breakfast there though we did not have the brunch. It was very good and the service was great.

The hotel is fine, we were enjoying our stay up to Easter. Although we had made an Easter brunch reservation in advance when we made our room reservation, they did not honor our reservation time and made us wait for 45 minutes past our 11:30 a.m. reservation time. The greeter/manager was not skilled enough to offer us options and kept thanking us for being patient, kind of pretentious, we were not patient and frustrated, we saw several open tables sit there the entire time and several other parties the same size with reservations after us seated before us. He made it seem like he was doing us a favor to wait for a table with a view. When we were seated we waited for 15 minutes and were not greeted or offered anything so we left and had a lovely breakfast at the Black Dog Tavern instead. I did check out their buffet and it looked unfortunate for $45, however we would have tried it anyways if they had simply provided basic service and kept their reservation commitment. I'd say, stay at the hotel, have a drink at their bar but dont' dine there, especially for a special occaision! The bar Manager was very good, passionate and with flair.

Room Tip: Stay in the main hotel building, the other buildings are like staying in a motel.

Our stay at Harbor View was wonderful. This was our first trip to Martha's Vineyard and we could not have picked a better place. Great location, amazing staff, food was delicious. The hotel itself is gorgeous and very clean! The room was spacious, beautiful and again, very clean. The staff was incredible. When we were leaving, it was slightly raining, Todd offered to drive us to the bus stop (a couple blocks away). So kind!! We would definitely recommend this place. And a great value!!

Room Tip: We choose a room with a porch. Although it was a little cool, I would suggest a porch to anyone. It is always nice to open the door to let it some fresh air no matter what the temp is.

Where do I start? From the moment we arrived at the Harbor View we were enchanted. The location couldn't be more perfect, as its name implies, the view of the harbor and the lighthouse are beautiful. The beach area was so "natural" and not commercialized at all. So restful. The hotel itself is perfectly "Martha's Vineyard". Just what one thinks about when imagining the island. So elegant but in a down-to-earth way so everyone would feel comfortable here. The buildings (of which there were many) inside and out and the landscaping were lovely. Everything was impeccably cared for. I honestly could not find one thing wrong with the entire resort.

However, the BEST part of our stay was the staff. From the management to the housekeepers, each person treated us as if we were their only guests. Smiles always and continuous offers to assist in any way. Katelyn and Todd were beyond gracious and accommodating. Again, smiling the entire time. We could tell they genuinely loved their jobs. Of course they do! Who wouldn't want to work at this beautiful resort!

Harbor View and the staff at Harbor View are wonderful. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed with friends and location was very important to us we couldn't have picked a better place!! The staff were very helpful Katelyn the manager even suggested where to dine. Todd the concierge showed us several rooms while we were staying there one was "nicer" than other. If you are looking for a weekend or a week away I couldn't think of a nicer place. The view was amazing and the walk to town with all the shopping was delightful. I can't thank them enough for a most enjoyable weekend I can not wait to visit again!!
