This was our first time in this hotel and it was a good first impresion. The view is just amazing especially on sunset. We stayed in the main building and the room was clean. It was our daughter birthday and we made a reservation for the main restaurant. We had a nice table, but one thing that i have to mention is the not expected surprize we had from the young gentleman that was waiting on our table, his name was boby. We told him it was our doughter birthday and out of nowhere after we were done eating he brought us a nice desert with a candle to surprise our daughter. Boby just made our night.
Another thing about this hotel is that you can learn so much from the employees since they are from all over the world.

One more name i would like to mention is joanne the concierege. She helped our trip to be much nicer and easy.

The only bad thing about this hotel is the location it is kind of far away from the town. But the view is worthed.

So long see yoy next year :)

A throwback to the fine hotel experience of old, this is a place no one should miss. Impeccable service, delicious food, beautiful decor and an amazing setting makes this a chance of a lifetime.

The lobby and grounds of the Harbor View are beautiful and the location can not be beat however the rooms are small and outdated. For $500 per night I would expect a larger room with better up keep. The room was not well cleaned and needs some major TLC. Additionally, the bathroom was small and looked similar to a cheap motel with a cramped shower and dirty curtain. I also found it ridiculous that I was charged for coffee in the lobby rather than it being complimentary. With the price of this place I would expect a few more frills.
The front porch is beautiful and the staff was friendly (however not the most helpful in making travel plans and they were all teenagers with little customer service experience) but over all I would not recommend spending this kind of cash on a place that should really be half the price.

I really enjoyed the Harbor View. The location cannot be beat. Easy access to town and one of the most peaceful beaches anywhere. The porch has to be one of the best porches in New England. Food was very good and the team was very attentive. It is pricey, but you get what you pay for.

This hotel has a wonderful view, especially from the front porch. It is within easy walking distance to Edgartown. The staff was excellent, very attentive to all details. The restaurant has delicious food. Dining here was one of the highlights of our stay. The pool area is pleasant. We stayed in the building adjacent to the pool. The room was large, but my only criticism was that the room needed some updating.
