While traveling with another couple in the area, they recommended stopping here for an early dinner otherwise we would have kept on driving by. The place does not look very inviting and there were no other cars in the lot. We arrived a few minutes before they opened for dinner but the waitress said we could come in and order drinks. We ordered drinks and then about 10 minutes later placed our dinner. The meals and service were actually very good – the fish sandwich was quite yummy! Overall, the waitress was very pleasant and efficient. The prices were also very good and reasonable. The owner was very friendly and came over and chatted awhile with us and gave us a lot of history and background of the area – very interesting. The place is in serious need of an upgrade – very tired and worn down place. We were the only ones there so not sure if it gets busy later in the evening or weekends. It could be so much better, great location on Rt 2 next to the French King’s bridge site; but did not get the impression that anyone really cared.
