My wife and I stayed at this Hampton Inn recently before taking the ferry over to Martha's Vineyard.

You can always count on Hampton Inns to provide you with a nice clean well located hotel environment and this hotel met all those expectations. Close to restaurants, just minutes from New Bedford and the Ferry pier I can recommend this nice hotel to you.

I stay here every summer for a week when I come back to the area to visit friends and family. It is centrally located to the places I am going, with good access to I-195. I have not had a problem with the hotel or the rooms. The staff is always courteous and helpful. This is probably one of the few good hotels in this area.

Pricing always seems high for the New Bedford area -- folks, this is NOT Cape Cod, although it is priced that way. The Cape is on the other side of canal, about 30 miles away.

There are many inexpensive locally owned breakfast options nearby. They are much better than the breakfast buffet.

Room Tip: It is a LONG walk down the hall. At some point, the hotel was added on to, and the elevators are at...

Best Hotel in this area of Massachusetts. Unfortunately (as it was a weekend), we shared the hotel with 50 13-15 y/o baseball players. We were very apprehensive - but had no choice.

The first F-Bomb down the hallway (seriously - at 9:30 PM) was met with a call to the front desk. They responded immediately and never heard another peep that night.

Well done.

Staff were attentive and helpful. Breakfast was good but could have used more options (for example, had either eggs or french toast on various days but not both). Cleaning staff did a good job. Very clean. Overall a very good experience.

Chosen mainly for proximity to our final destination, Provincetown. Friendly front desk, very busy family hotel. Gym is serviceable and rarely used. A/C was problematic an noisy. Alarm clock went off @ 315am. Breakfast was a scrum-most were looking to get out early. Average, but adequate.

We were taking a trip from the Hamptons on the east end of Long Island, NY to Boston, MA. We took the ferry from Orient Point, NY to New London and chose the Hampton Inn New Bedford/Fairhaven as our layover spot. The drive from the Hamptons over the various ferry crossings to the North Fork was delightful, and as planned, we took our time and enjoyed the drive. That put us a little late to make it into Boston at a reasonable hour which necessitated a quick stopover.

This is a perfectly normal Hampton Inn. The location is great for those traveling the Boston/NYC route. Though it is, as is normal for this type of hotel, in a somewhat industrial area, it is easy to recommend to someone traveling through.

Room Tip: 2nd floor is quieter.

We had a very nice stay at this hotel. The room was clean and quiet. Online directions to the hotel could have been better. The hotel sits back from the main road and, not being familiar with the area, we drove past the road leading to the hotel twice without knowing where the hotel was. The hotel should add landmarks, such as a restaurant or store, in their online directions to help locate the hotel.
