“Unforgettable beauty!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

Simply stunning. Sand like flour and an abundance of tropical fish. To call it an island is maybee a little ambitious it's more of a sand bank in the sea but still the most beautiful place I have visited so far. Don't waste your money on Sãona island this is a million times more beautiful.

“Upgrade and do the VIP Colombus trip”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 July 2014

We took our two children on this ocean adventure 7yr and 12yr and they said it was the brilliant. Early start but worth it. You board and our waited on hand and foot. Their is a light breakfast offered and waiter service to bring you drinks as you travel along on the ocean. We got to see wild dolphins who jumped in and out of the water and followed the boat. You stop off and jump into the crystal waters for a cooling off period and our welcomed back on board to champayne. Lunch was a buffet and then you are taken to Paradise Island. Great for snorkeling fans... For smaller children their is a little lagoon where you can feed the fish. Drinks served on the beach you stay there approx 90 mins and our taken back to have Fish soup more refreshments and then coach trip home. Tour guide great was were the staff. Brill family day out :)

“Literally Paradise”

My first proper go at snokelling and it was amazing. Fish that swim inches from you, a guide that takes you around the reef and a tiny little island to sip drinks and eat fruit and sit in the sun. A wonderful day out!
Would definitely recommend!
Shame about the stop at a souvenir shop but definitely one to try!

“Not for children under 16 - No bathrooms ... too many people.”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

Imagine a small island in the middle of the ocean! That's what you get. No shade, no chairs, no bathroom. NADA!
I took my 9 year old son...we started the day with a buffet breakfast..the we were herded onto a bus for 2 1/2 hours from Puerta Plata. Then we were herded onto boats that tooks us another 20 minutes into the middles of the ocean to this OASIS looking island. Along with 300 other people :( We snorkelled around the reefs with 300 other people, fed the tropical fish bananas and then we sat..and waited for 90 minutes for our boat to pick us up. We were offered hamburgers and drink from the small thatch hut. Imagine now 6-8 hours ...2 meals...no bathrooms :( Our boat picked us up and took us in top the mangroves (It felt like we were in a SWAMP PEOPLE episode). Our driver was funny, friendly and knowledgeable with limited , and entertaining English :) We returned to land 6 hours later... fed more hamburgers and salad (there were rundown bathrooms here). Back on the bus... We stopped at a cigar a making shop... All adults were given shots of Mamajuana... watched the making of fresh cigars and then back on the bus. It was a BRUTAL 8 hours of my life I will never get back! Consider everyone in your group that may be going and don't make children or older adults suffer. Save your money!

“Loved It!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 26 June 2014

This is an island out in the middle of nowhere. Although it was overcrowded, it was beautiful. Our guide coaxed us into snorkeling even though we were both hesitant to try. With his assistance and reassurance, we had a great time. A definite must see! However, there are no bathrooms or beach chairs.
