Had a delightful birthday dinner here. Excellent beet salad, duck with harvest vegetables, topped off by Baked Alaska--an unusual treat to find on a menu. The Baked Alaska was great but it would have been more fun if it had been brought flaming from the kitchen. Guess that's a no-no considering current regulations!

Had dinner at the Glass Onion two weeks ago. It was our second time there, and did not disappoint. We can be somewhat picky, but there was absolutely no faults to be found here. We each had salads, the filet, and shared a dessert. Also had a lovely bottle of Italian red, but I can't recall the name. With tax and tip, dinner was $205....well worth it for such a delightful dining experience. Our server was attentive and the ambience is very cozy and romantic. We will be back!

This is our favorite place to dine! The ambience is warm and inviting. The waitstaff and hosts are wonderful, the food is always changing and delicious. Risotto, duck, fish, steaks, lobster strudel, various salads, duck pate, etc. it's all so good! The wine and liquor selection is top notch! They do not take reservations so be prepared to wait a bit if you don't get there when they open. But don't stress about it...You can enjoy the glass alcove with a cocktail! They will bring one out to you while you wait!

We do rely heavily on Trip Advisor for our decisions about where to go when on the road. In this case it was backed up by advise from the local establishment. Several nice things before we even got around to the meal. There was parking, a plus. The interior was beautifully done and the reception was warm and friendly. The service is also impeccable. The wine list is extensive with selections that are rarely found. All of the afore mentioned would be lost but it is only the very tip of the reason to go here. The menu selection is not extensive but I would not by any means say that it is limited. Better to do something well than to offer many things that are mediocre. Our way of doing things is to order a different selection so we can both have not only what we enjoy but to also exchange a tasting and get a better feel for the nuance of the chefs hand. We had, in two visits, four different pre dinner items and four main plates. There is no way that I can say which was the best but each was an exciting and delicious offering. Ambience, great service and fantastic meals, what more could anyone ask for in a dining experience. Trip Advisor should be ashamed to list this in second place. We were fortunate to be off season and were able to fully enjoy this fabulous experience

We love this place and go here whenever we can - I think itis the best restaurant in town and should be number one. Granted the French patisserie is wonderful but it is not really a restaurant with wine and duck and great service on a cold night. One time I could not finish my duck and wanted to take the rest home and when after paying the bill I asked where it was - the waiter on finding out it had been thrown out, had them cook me another so I could take half home. Now that is good service
