No complaints. The ferry was easy to get to, departed on time, and had plenty of seats. Haven't been on the other ferry for 25 years so I can't really compare them, but we were satisfied with the service.

Went to Martha's Vinyard - on this boat and the ride was great- lovely day and the water was calm. Boat was in great shape and the people working on it were very nice and helpful. Would recommend it.

No covered area with shadow in Oak bluffs. Have to wait in sun. Nice trip at all. Parking free could be a must.

The driving instructions on the website are excellent, and there are two parking lots a short walk from the ferry terminal, at a cost of $15 per day.. In the summer get there an hour ahead of time as the lots fill up, and you can get to the front of the line if you want to sit anyway in particular on the boat. Purchasing a roundtrip ticket for $20 was quick and easy. The journey across is a very pleasant 35 minutes, and there are drinks and snacks available for purchase. You can get a cab or rent a bike or moped close to the dock. For the return trip in the summer make sure you are there at least 30 minutes beforehand - we took the 3.45 ferry back and 40 people didn't get on. You can also pick up island tours close to the dock but do your research as some aren't great.

We enjoyed our trip to Martha's Vineyard and back. The crew is very professional and were wonderful with people requiring some type of assistance. We sat outside on the bow of the boat and I recommend sitting on the right side so that you get a nice view of the island coming into port. The only downfall to this was that we could not hear the safety instructions clearly. Try & arrive 45 minutes early to ensure a seat. The parking lots are well marked and our first choice was full. We easily found the overflow parking down the street and there was lots of room for our pick-up truck. Happy sailing!
