“"A Little piece of Heaven"”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

It was a girls three day weekend away, and it was fantastic! Not only were we greeted by a friendly face, but we were treated like family. Cindy answered all our questions on where to eat and entertainment to see. We had all the comforts of home in the middle of the Cape; so close to beach, shopping and great food! But yet, where this resort is located, you feel like your totally away from the hustle and bustle of the Cape. If your looking for a Hotel with Loud bands and partying, don't stay here. If you want to get away and listen to nature and relax and unwind, definitely come here. The atmosphere is sedating. They have paddle boats, kayaks, and place to grill if you don't want to leave the resort. (and of course you have a full service kitchen) You can sit on swings, which are nestled all over the resort to overlook the water views.

In town for business and minding our time, our room was not ready when we arrived. The proprietor scrambled to summon the cleaning staff, who had us into our room 45 minutes to an hour later than scheduled check-in. We waited on the lawn - I urgently needed a bathroom, but the proprietor told us bathrooms were not for the public - even though we were lodging there that night! Not a single bathroom on the property was open to us - we were forced to get back in the car, leave the resort and drive into town looking for a restaurant, and he told us ok. Cape Wind couldn't accommodate, but McDonald's could? When we returned, the room still wasn't ready. We played horseshoes as it began to rain. When allowed to enter, the room was clean and nice, but we were now late, and the floors wet with bleach that burned our feet as we rushed to make our destination. Ultimately apologetic, he offered us late check-out, but we didn't need that, and didn't stay long enough for it to matter. Lovely property, but strange hospitality, and I'm afraid we won't try this again.

This place has not been updated since the 50's - just awful! See my photos, Remember when you were a little kid and all that mattered was a swimming pool, while this place had that and beautiful park-like grounds overlooking the estuary. Sounds nice – should be- but the rooms were just awful, not really clean’ filthy in the corners, a hodge-podge of mixed furniture, wire, and broken wooden hangers the holders of which were taped together with black electrical tape, broken blinds and old heater and air conditioner; not real clean. We had to use the hangers to hold up the curtain so that the cool air could blow on us on one of the hottest nights in Falmouth, but in looking at some of the other rooms we were lucky to have an air conditioner at all. Fifties asbestos floor tiles which were cracked and the bed so hard that I might as well have slept on the floor, my back was aching from the bed and I had two nights of misery. Then the bath products what a joke one little mini bar of soup and shampoo conditioner. I did not know I sighed up for a campground stay. This was a bloody nightmare. The Bates hotel – Alfred Hitchcock could have written a screen play about this one. People who left good reviews – I am perplexed. I have been all over Europe and stayed in some old hotels and never anything this poor. And the price for two nights nearly $600- OUCH!! Would not recommend to my worst enemy! No restaurant, fitness center, amenities, and the staff is gone @ 9PM and not back till 9PAM the next morning - I would not call this a resort.

Room Tip: There is no good room!

Our family is frquently searching for a comfortable place to stay on Cape Cod. After being treated poorly from a Hotel we have stayed many times we chose Cape Wind. Upon arrival we were welcomed by owners who personally walked us to our cottage and ensured we had everything we needed to be comfortable. In addition, everybody we came in contact with was very friendly and helpful. Traveling with a family often can be a hassle with sleeping accommodations special parking situations (hauling a boat) and late arrivals. They were good with it all. With all that said it's a great place to stay clean rooms, comfortable beds, spacious grounds on the water with pool and picnic benches. You can bring your own boat or use on of thier kayaks. Overall I would highly recommend Cape Wind for a quaint stay in a perfect location. We hope to return soon.

Cape wind was a great place to stay!
They have 2 kayaks and a paddle boat wich you can fit a whole family on (5 people) also the pool is one of the cleanest I have seen in years
The one con is that the front desk never picks up when you call (they call back in minutes)

My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the CapeWind. It was so peaceful, perfect for much needed rest and relaxation. The rooms were clean, bright and cheery. It was a bonus to be able to take our two little dogs with us. We have found sometimes when pets are welcome the cleanliness of the rooms are not always up to par with non-pet places. That is absolutely not the case here. We enjoyed the grounds and even tested out the paddle boat. We are thinking of planning another visit for the fall. I also want to mention the excellent customer service from all the employees we encountered.

We spent 5 glorious nights in mid July 2012 and loved the ambiance of this hotel right on the water in Cape Cod. We kayaked and used paddle boats right off the hotel's boat dock. The view was relaxing and picturesque from the spacious& beautifully landscaped grounds. It had a large, well-maintained outdoor pool with lots of lounge chairs. Parking at your door was so convenient. We loved the accommodating staff who went out of their way to make our vacation fun filled with suggestions and special touches. I am so glad we found this resort and know that this is our Cape Cod "home away from home:". The Cape Wind's location in Falmouth put us in the center of everything, but the hotel was secluded, spacious and quiet. Rooms were exceptionally clean and charming.

Room Tip: Some rooms have kitchenettes!
