“A Real Gem”
Reviewed 3 September 2013

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this motel to anyone. It is situated on a beautiful and private property tucked off the main road. From the location on the water with paddle boats available to guests to explore the area, to the pool on the grounds, to the large and very clean rooms, everything was top notch. The woman who greeted us at the main office was very pleasant and recommended 2 restaurants which we thoroughly enjoyed, the Casino Wharf and British Beer Company. The grounds were very spacious and well cared for. Truly, a gem of motel.

I have been to the Cape Wind MANY times over the years for our company outing. We have never been disappointed by the accomodations. The rooms are clean. The owners and staff are more than accommodating. You have gorgeous views of the bay as well as a sparkling clean pool. Who could ask for more. It's just far enough off the main drag to be quiet but close enough to be convenient!

Love it!

This property is as close as you can get to having your own Cape Cod cottage. When I say they treat you like family, I am not exaggerating. As a non American, when I see that license plate which says " The Spirit of America" it is certainly true at Capewind. It is clean, quiet, and I have seen the odd glass of wine change hands.

Room Tip: I like the rooms with a kitchen

My wife and I have never really enjoyed Cape Cod because of the traffic and all the hustle and bustle. CapeWind (which we attended for a wedding) gave us a completely unexpected and delightful experience. Quiet, peaceful, with water access for our kayaks and a short walk away from shopping and groceries and a longer but scenic walk to the beach. We had a unit with a small kitchenette and were able to prepare snacks and meals for extended family which we hosted at the picnic tables in the secluded, shaded back yard with water views (and a pool!). the entire complex was clean and the hosts and staff cheerful and very attentive. We will be staying here again in the future!

Room Tip: Ask for a kitchenette!

This beloved place is a home away from home for me. The staff and the quaint amibance are a continous source of perfect, familiar nostalgia and peace. It brings me back to childhood, where the Summers are endless and the living is pure, simple and fine. The grounds keeper, Mike and his lovely wife are giving, polite and ALWAYS go above and beyond. The tour of the Nobska Lighthouse from Mike was especially enchanting. I look forward to my next visit at the Cape Wind, it's just like going coming home again!

I have stayed at the Cape Wind twice: two years ago for a dog show (with a dog) and then I came back (without the dog) for the Falmouth Road Race in August 2013. I highly recommend this adorable and comfortable motel.

The grounds are spacious and well maintained, and the location is perfect for us. We enjoyed the convenience of the in room fridge and coffee maker. It is certainly a motel, not the Mandarin nor the Ritz - e.g. there are no Frette linens nor Aveda bath products :-) so you must set the right expectation, but if you want quintessential, clean, Cape Cod charm with lovely service, this is your place. We will go back soon!
