This was our seventh consecutive annual visit to the Inn on the Sound--a honeymoon in June 2012 and six repeat stays in mid-June. Our preferred room is one on the second floor with an excellent view of the Sound and Martha's Vineyard. Over the years we have noticed and appreciated improvements in decor and conveniences in the room and always look forward to enjoying the extraordinary breakfast creations we are served every morning.
While staying at the Inn for several days (we recommend at least three nights}, be sure to enjoy long walks along the beaches, a concert on Monday nights in summer by the 10-man a cappella group "Hyannis Sound", a short ferry ride to Martha's Vineyard, a ten-minute drive to Highfield House in Falmouth or a 30 minute drive to Heritage Museum and Gardens In Sandwich (antiques, gardens, art work, and free rides on their perfectly restored carousel). Hint. Lunch at the Tea Room on Main Street--eat in or take out.More
