We had reservations for a group of 10 for a special occasion. The food was good but it seemed like they had problems getting all our food out in a timely manner. It took around 2 hours for the meal, mostly waiting for food. They also ran out of some of the side dishes and had to change our orders. The location right on the harbor is nice.

Nice atmosphere, especially out on the deck overlooking the docks. Food was tasty with good size portion and moderately priced. Would certainly go back next time we are in the area.

After the kids spend time fascinated in front of the tropical fish tank, you will probably be promptly seated. There are outdoor tables for fair weather, and the harbor view is great. Food is very good from apps to dessert, but try to get a cup of chowder to start. Fried clams, lobster roll and scallops were all cooked perfectly, served hot and in large portions.
Sushi chefs work their own bar as well as serving table fare. The separate bar in front on the street is a good stop over before eating. An error in preparing one entre resulted in an "on the house" reorder...a class move. A very enjoyable meal.

I have favorited this restaurant for several years; all seasons, not just this particular awesome summer day! My mom and I went for lunch, I had the haddock burrito (well prepared, a little kick but not too much) and she had the lobster roll- they serve two hot dog rolls with lobster, cole slaw, and hand-cut french fries. We decided on dessert and chose the strawberry rhubarb crumble with a walnut crust, topped with vanilla ice cream. I would give it a 10 out of 10 - "out of the park" outstanding. The restaurant is inside seating (for those of us who like the AC) and outside, right beside the harbor. Could not be more pleasant. Excellent waitstaff too by the way. Cudos to Lat 43 - I have probably been 10 times and NEVER had anything I did not love. FYI- best, freshest haddock, off the boat and onto the table.

Service was slow, food was average, it was a beautiful day outside. Unfortunately, we were told the wait would be 40 minutes so opted for inside. We were seated for about 5 minutes and the outside deck starts emptying. Would have definitely waited 5-10 minutes..for an outside table on a beautiful July day. The hostess was not very good at setting expectations...so that put us in a not-so-good mood right away. Don.t think I would go back...because of the location thought there would be more fresh fish on the menu, besides the sushi...The menu was similar to any chain anywhere in the country..so didn't feel Gloucester authentic...which is what we were looking for. I agree with Keri S, first impressions are lasting..and we were disappointed.
