“Excellent Lobster Roll”
Reviewed 21 July 2014

The covered, outdoor seating at this restaurant is great. We went with business colleagues for lunch, and it did not disappoint! The lobster roll was terrific, and the service was very good.

“food is great, service is consistently not”
Reviewed 20 July 2014

i've been here several times but the service the other night at dinner was about par for the course. the service was not good even though we were sitting in a high-traffic area. no one ever checked up on us after our food was [inexpertly] dropped off and we waited and waited for the bill ... i finally got up and asked at the hostess station, and then waited 10 more minutes. the baked haddock, which is my benchmark meal, was good. delmonico potatoes, in lieu of a baked potato that evening, were good and asparagus was well cooked. tried the steamers and fried oystahs. ok. it doesn't seem to matter if they are busy or not, the service needs help. more training, less hanging out?

Decent food with wide variety. Would eat here again for sure. The fried oysters were outstanding. Def worth a lunch date.

“Just excellent”
Reviewed 17 July 2014

Second visit to this restaurant - was not let down. We shared a sampler appetizer - shrimp prepared two ways and crab cake - it was all delicious, moist and beautifully presented. We ordered the fisherman's platter to share - and it was more than enough for two of us and actually could have fed a third if necessary. The seafood was perfectly fried and the french fries, often a forgotten part of the meal, were among the best I've ever had! We had all we could do to finish all the scallops, shrimp, whole belly clams and the large piece of haddock/cod and regretfully left some french fries behind! And although we were stuffed, we allowed the waitress to bring a dessert menu and then succumbed to the mint chocolate chip brownie sundae - which could have fed four people and was well, just excellent! We did our best, but only managed to eat a little less than 1/2 of the entire dessert. Best of all though, we decided to have some decaf coffee with our dessert and most times, decaf coffee is awful, it's been sitting around and burned. This was, yet again, excellent, hot, tasty and a perfect compliment to our dessert. We will definitely be back!

Tried the place on a recommendation made by a local. Great choice!!! Group had lobster 3 ways!
Eric, our waiter recommended these varieties. Lobster pie , made with wine and mushrooms, Lobster mac and cheese, filled with a full lobster, and Lobster Roll, made with limited filler and 8 oz. of lobster. Prices are resonable and our waiter was terrific. Even recommended a great key lime pie to share. Place made you feel comfortable and at home. Water was wonderful to be near.
