“Salty and Sweet Surprise- Gem of a Bar & Music Scene”
Reviewed 4 August 2014

Very much the look of a neighborhood bar, you soon turn from outsider to welcomed guest. The bar teams with locals who are friendly and joyous, the music was great, bartender's even better. Food was standard pub fare - bar scene was older and just very nice people!

Closest thing to a real English or Welsh Pub - music - great drafts - friends. Integrity in their food too.

“Remember looks can be deceiving”
Reviewed 20 February 2014

The Rhumbline is an "establishment" in downtown Gloucester which will surprise you. If you like music and real people serving up real good food at a real reasonable price....try it. Music is beyond the word good, it is outstanding. Check out their music calendar and pick your type of music. Like to dance? No problem. Real pud type atmosphere, so if you are into tablecloths, fine china, etc. move on by and pay more, may be eat as well, and listen to elevator music on a sound system.

“Old school pub with music”
Reviewed 9 January 2013

This is a down to earth bar that rocks at the weekends! At the weekend, we often drop in for a lunch or supper at the bar (we like the crab cakes) and a Bass ale (on draft). The music is usually danceable rock, folk and blues (no emo kids to be seen) and when there is no music the bar is friendly and quiet. An excellent place to hang out.
