“Super place to eat!”
Reviewed 6 May 2014

This place was great! The wait staff was friendly and very welcoming. We were there two nights in a row, with the first night being a "trivia" night so getting seated took a while, but well worth the wait. I had the Angus burger that was great, but the following night I had the pulled pork that was EXCELLENT!!!

“Yummy and Friendly!”
Reviewed 27 April 2014

My husband and I stopped in for lunch and were promptly greeted by the friendly hostess. We opted to sit at the bar. The two bartender's that took our orders were friendly, efficient and very willing to make suggestions. We opted for a sampler of beers which arrived 6 on a wooden paddle...and we even got a bonus one to boot! They were very tasty! We ordered two appetizers, chicken wings and quesadillas'. The chicken wings were delicious...good quality chicken with just the right amount of spice cooked to perfection. It was served with blue cheese dressing, celery and carrot sticks. The quesadillas were excellent as well and were served with a tasty guacamole, sour cream and diced tomatoes and onion. We also ordered a burger and fries to share and it was good quality beef and was cooked exactly as we asked. It was juicy and delicious It was served with coleslaw and fries. The Cape Ann Brewing company participates in the Mass Craft Brewers Passport so we got ours stamped while we were there too. The prices were awesome too. We'll definitely be back!

“Average pub”
Reviewed 23 March 2014 via mobile

Took quite a while to get service and it wasn't that busy. Once we were served, the food was so so. Not great but not bad. Picnic table style so limited seating. If you're looking for a burger or a quick bite it's a good stop. If you're looking for more, venture on.

“if your looking for a choice in beer”
Reviewed 5 March 2014

Big selection of beer. I recommend the imperial stout and the pre-dawn trappist ale. I also tried one of their seasonal, chilly stout. It was novel and interesting but I would not want more than a print. It has a chili powder/red pepper after taste/finish. The food is good pub food. The pub itself was cold, I had to leave my coat on.

“Skip Right On By”
Reviewed 4 March 2014

Unless you are a college student or of that age group I recommend skipping right by. Beer may taste OK but atmosphere (except for good music some nights) is barely OK. Lack of cleanliness and food poor is a BIG disappointment. They do have a good location near harbor and for parking but there are much better restaurants with good beer choices as well as wine and spirits, besides much better food and atmosphere.
