We are summer cruisers and stop in Gloucester on the way to and from Maine. We tried Ohana last year and found the food delicious and really good. We are happy to report that the wait staff has much improved, to match the level of the food.

Ming Tsai, watch out.... Here's your competition!

This is the kind of place you would expect to find in NYC. The meals were creations, each one clearly made with care and precision. We went as a family, with the youngest a typical "kid" eater who doesn't like fancy or flavorful food. Keeping that in mind, the chef took care to ensure that her meat was not pre-marinaded and even created french fries (not on the menu) for her to enjoy. She couldn't stop eating her meal, even after she was full. She wanted to take the rest home, so she put the plate in front of her sister, who proceeded to eat it, too.... She just couldn't help it... it was SO GOOD.

We had Gluten-free, lactose and nut allergies and again, the waitstaff knew exactly what was ok to eat.

I wish I lived closer to Gloucester so that we could go there more often.

Highly, highly, highly recommend this restaurant.

Went to Ohana for dinner last night. As always the dinner was excellent. For appetizers we shared the Chicken Spring rolls with a sweet & mildly spicy dipping sauce; pan crisp ricotta gnocchi with wild mushrooms, haricot vert, prosciutto and fonduta was superb; and tempura cape ann lobster sushi roll with homemade sauces. Wonderful. Dinner was delicious. The mahi mahi was fresh with flavors of herbs. The service was appropriately attentive and the staff was very knowledgeable of the menu and wines. Dessert was a special treat. The pineapple up side down cake with home made ricotta ice cream was bursting with fresh flavors. The special blue berry cheese cake with home made blue berry ice cream was delight to our taste buds. Go try this before it is off the menu. A great dining experience.

My family and I were blown away by the creative, succulent fare. Each dish offered unique combinations of flavor and ingredients and everything was fresh, tasty and very well proportioned. And not to be missed - their pastry chef [who was given advance notice of our arrival] made an incredible yellow birthday cake w/ a peanut butter and chocolate frosting. To die for -

Lunch the next day was no less delicious or generous. From Szechuan calamari to chicken and avocado salad - we all enjoyed every bite.

Their service was warm, the setting tasteful and the staff was very knowledgeable and helpful.

My wife and I enjoyed dinner at Ohana's this weekend. We had a delightful experience. The wait staff was friendly. Our server, Nicole was extremely knowledgeable about the menu. We had lots of question because of the many choices. My wife had 2 appetizers for dinner. The first was Foie Gras Nigri...outstanding. Next she had the shrimp and asparagus crepe. She said it was just the right size to complete the meal. I had the fried lobster sushi. It was very light and tasty. For the main course I tried the Beef Cheeks. It was a slow cooked tender serving... also outstanding. The only small negative was that the hostess didn't smile. Everybody else did smile including the patrons. The meal was expensive but worth every penny.
