“One of the prettiest beaches”
Review of Wingaersheek Beach

Wingaersheek is gorgeous. Clear waters, sparkling sands, and when the tide is out, the water is not as cold as most North Shore beaches. On a hot day get there early to park (by 10 or 1030) as there are more spots reserved for residents than non. There's a snack bar, showers and bathrooms. Lots of great restaurants and clam shacks nearby for after the beach. This beach is special.

Families come to this beach for the sand and surf, but more than that the many little tidal pools that form within the rocks. As the afternoon hours pass a long sand bar appears that you can walk out on for quite a distance. The only reason I give only 4 stars is the cost of parking, $25, is ridiculous, and if you are not in by 10am on a week-end you won't get a space.

I lived in NE all my life and just found this beach. It's wicked awesome. Very clean, soft sands, warm waters, tucked in a Cove with a view of a light house. There are also clean restrooms and a snack shack. Get there early because it fills up quick.

It's a good family beach with nice shallow water for children to play in. I'm not on "High Alert" like I am at most beaches. It's a family beach... not a party beach!

Living in Gloucester my entire life, this beach is equal to Good Harbor Beach in my opinion! Both are very beautiful and clean. Wingaersheek is smaller with beautiful scenery. The water at this beach is warmer because it is on Ipswich Bay and has many sand bars. It is great for children because of its size and there are warm pots and rocks to climb. Clean restrooms and a concession for lunch or drinks is available for you a short walk from the soft, clean, white sand! I love this beach!!!
