“Hidden Gem!”
Reviewed 29 July 2013

My husband and I recently had dinner at the Seaglass and it was an incredible experience! It is "slightly off the beaten path" from downtown Gloucester, but certainly worth finding! First of all, the weather for the evening was perfect and we were seated on the porch where a three-piece band was playing eclectic music. We placed our orders and were pleasantly surprised with a "sample" appetizer sent to us by the Chef..... it was amazing. Our entrees were superb and the portions were more than ample. My husband had the baked haddock (scrumptious) and I ordered the lobster pie........unbelievable! The best I have ever tasted! We were equally delighted with the butterscotch brownie for dessert (which we shared) and would highly recommend it. Our server's name was Tom and he could not have been more cordial and accommodating. We also spoke with the owner and she was pleased to hear our compliments. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant.....it is a hidden gem and we certainly intend to return!

“Wonderful Experience”
Reviewed 27 July 2013

The Restaurant and Inn sit on a hill looking over the Annisquam River. When I've been there in the past it is a perfect location to view the water. In the evening, the egrets fly over to their roosting spots. We hadn't been to the restaurant in a while and we were delighted by the new menu. Our server (Tom) was attentive but not obtrusive. He offered helpful advice about the menu. I was pleased to see a strong local focus to the menu. Our selections arrived in a timely fashion. The presentation was lovely. The food was delightful. I left the restaurant satisfied and plan to return regularly.

“Well worth checking out”
Reviewed 15 July 2013

We had tried the Seaglass last year, and it was very good. Decided to go again this past weekend. The menu and food preparation is creative, yet not over the top. In a town where you can get the usual baked scrod and fried scallops everywhere (and not all are good), the Seaglass offering is refreshing. reasonably priced, good service. They need to spruce up their outdoor dining ambiance somewhat (only 4 tables?), but the live acoustic music was great.

“Fabulous meal in an unexpected place”
Reviewed 11 July 2013

We were staying on our boat at the Cape Ann Marina and heard about this restaurant through word of mouth. We walked the 1/8 of a mile up the causeway to arrive at a beautiful inn. We were a party of 4 and were the only reservation that evening (it was a Monday night). That being said, I can't say enough about the service, atmosphere and the food. There were several specials plus the large menu. We started with a caesar salad and the seaglass house salad. They were large enought to split and were wonderful. I had the Duck Confit Ravioli...just wonderful. The other diners had the specials. The lobster and petit filet special was a bargain at $21. Now that we have discovered this place, we would definitely go back. Oh yes and the drinks were good!
