We have been to Rubiner's two times, treated poorly by the owner the first time and returned to see if it was just an off day. Nope, we were treated just as indifferently as the first time. I can't imagine that any customers, even the ones from NYC, consider the disinterested service and affected attitude appropriate for the region. There are many other shops to buy cheese and gourmet products, with more attentive and kind service. Shame on you, Rubiners --you give Great Barrington a bad name (and we like expensive cheese).
