Forget the chain coffee shops, this is amazing, organic coffee, lattes, espresso, etc. I also love their salads and soups. Gluten Free options available! Great place for a little business meeting over breakfast or lunch. The owners: Katie and Luke are good people!

I go here for lattes when I'm in the mood. And the gluten free baked goods, although I don't think they make them.

This place is a little hard to find - it's west of Groton Center, tucked in a plaza of yellow buildings. I was afraid they wouldn't get enough notice - but the place is busy every time I go - which is usually late weekend mornings for an egg sandwich on a bagel and one of their fabulous iced mochas.

It's just a simple storefront with a bright clean seating area and a counter along the back. They have 6 or 8 tables, but a lot of their business is to go, so there's usually a table available. And though they have free WiFi, the tables aren't co-opted by laptop-users :)

It's pricey when compared to fast food, but reasonable for the quality of the coffee and the food. They have mix and match sandwiches - choose your bread, meat, cheese, etc - so you can be as plain or fancy as you like. They also have fresh baked goods that are excellent - I've sampled the muffins, the coffee cake and the loaves of focaccia they sell.

Excellent espresso, using freshly roasted George Howell coffee (among the best in the country). The coffee is really world class.

Excellent baked goods, and a great place to buy bread.

The food menu is generally standard cafe sandwiches and salads -- all well executed -- but includes a few very creative items. Try the Northender for breakfast ... it is a real treat.

We're lucky to have such good coffee north of Boston.
