We vacationed in the Berkshires in Oct with friends & stayed at Wyndham’s Bentley Brook. It is a short drive to Ioka Valley Farm & we went there toward the end of our vacation. We bought maple syrup, fruits, vegetables & apple cider donuts & were surprised to see they also had beef (which we’d already purchased in Pittsfield) & several other grocery items – everything at reasonable prices – certainly a lot less than the store between Wyndham & Jiminy peak. We were impressed at the extent of this operation with a petting zoo, hay rides, pumpkin picking, play areas & on weekends they have several activities. It’s a real Fall Fun place. Next year when we visit the Berkshires we will make sure this place is early in our vacation instead of a last minute discovery like this year. There is more here than you would guess.

My five children age 2, 3 8, 10 and 12 went here with my husband and I. Everyone agreed this was one of the best days out. The huge slide was a great idea and we had many fun photos from the day. We will go back many times. We did not try the restaurant.

At least during 'leaf peeking' season this is a full service family fun extravaganza. Really cool playgrounds, hay rides, petting zoo, pumpkin picking, etc. They also do maple-ing and offer a wide variety of maple products - syrups in all grades, candy, cream, cotton candy, etc. VERY nice staff all around - particularly the lady who samples the syrups.

The veggies at the farm stand also looked great - but we were in a hotel sans kitchen and didn't buy. But the maple cotton candy, grade B syrup, and apple cider donuts were all top notch.

We wanted fresh, local maple syrup for our pancakes so when I saw the flyer for Ioka Valley Farm, I hoped we would be able to buy some there. I called the morning after we arrived and the very friendly lady who answered the phone said since it was during the week, kind of off-season, they would sell items if they were around. Since I was five minutes away, I drove on down and got to choose from quite a variety. They also sell fresh beef and other items, depending on the time of year. If we'd been there over the weekend, we could have participated in a lot of fall fun activities.
By the way, their prices were very reasonable compared to other places we checked as we drove through Vermont. They were MUCH cheaper than the store at Jiminy Peak Resort!
So, make the call and meet up with them to get your maple syrup and fresh beef!

We've enjoyed Ioka's fresh corn for 4 nights of our Berkshire stay so far. Tomatoes, blueberries and peaches are also excellent! Love the honor system farm stand concept - easy to stop by during the day and early evening. Can't beat the fresh corn. We've had their maple syrup in the past and it's great for host/hostess gifts!
