“Big Disappointment!!!”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 August 2013

We were very impress when we arrived at Jiminy Peak in Hancock MA. The view was amazing, however our happiness did not last long. The check in was pretty smooth and that’s where the “pretty” and “smooth” ended. We found out that our room was not clean. The fridge was extremely filthy and the freezer area was not defrosted for months. Our bed sheets were not changed after the last customers and we found ugly black hair all over the sheets which were wrinkled after the last guest. The toilet seat was loose and far away from “clean”. After we called customer service they sort of cleaned out the fridge and replaced our sheets. However after two days the toilet seat was not repaired. The house keeping only changed our towels but failed to clean the room or replace the used toiletries.
The service at the local tavern which I cannot recall its name was extremely slow and lacked in training. The wait staff continually forgot our requests. They were more interested in personal gossip then the clientele in the restaurant (which was only a quarter full).
The resort needs a lot of cleaning (preferably with bleach), facelift, and major staff training.

“Excellent family fun”

We had a lot of fun at both the Mountain Adventure Park and the Aerial Adventure. We spent almost 8 hours there with three kids and nobody got bored! What an amazing day. The ropes and zip line courses felt very safe and were a lot of fun. The staff was excellent. Both helpful and friendly. The Mountain Coaster and the Alpine Slide were excellent and had no lines.

The Mountain Coaster and Alpine Slide were great. It was pricey alone, but great as part of the vacation package.

“Not at all impressed.”

A few things, when we arrived check in isn't until 4, originally the room reserved was not ready so we were placed in a different room. Next, the room was fine, however the couch had hairs all over. Pool was not heated though that's supposed to be one of the major amenities. The spa/heated whirlpool was a bit unkempt, area around it was filthy. The exercise room was closed due the AC being fixed. The major issue we had was the unbearable noise of other guests upstairs. It literally sounded like a basketball team playing up there, every noise can be heard through the vents, even conversations. The basketball court is a hoop in a parking lot. The rides and activities were mediocre, too little rides to accommodate a large amount of crowd (2 buses full of summer camp students and families from a community camp was guests too). What was irritating was these groups seemed to have priveledged services the other guests didnt (their own pool and could skip lines in the rides). By no means I am not a difficult person however, if other guests paid the same price as these group members then why were they given priveledges different than the rest of the guests. The basement (game room) was flooded, coin machine In game room was broken, and we had to get a different key cards three times since it didnt work to open our room. In other words, much maintenance has to be improved for this resort. Policy also has to be reviewed to accommodate all guests equally; whether they are part of a group or individual family since everyone pays to stay.

“fun times”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2013

You can fill a day with the activities on the mountain. Would like to see them somehow add more to make wait times shorter. Some things only accommodate 1 - 4 people at a time and a single turn can take more than 10 minutes (giant swing). Be patient...
