We stayed here several years ago and really enjoyed it so we decided to stay for our anniversary last month. The room was beautiful and clean however when my husband woke in the morning he found a bedbug crawling on his arm! We turned down the covers and found 2 more. We immediately checked out, went straight to a laundromat to Wash all our clothes and threw out our suitcase. The hotel was apologetic and refunded our timeshare points but our vacation was ruined none the less. I received over 30 bites and had trouble sleeping for two weeks. I know it happens but they really should find a way to inspect the rooms before they let people stay there.

The Bentley Brook is located at Jimminy Peak Ski Resort in the Berkshires. At check in we were greeted with hot mulled cider and cookies and by a very gracious and friendly staff. The lobby is two stories high and charming, with a fire going in the fireplace. Our two bedroom unit was spacious and very comfortable. The master bedroom was equipped with a hot tub and double sink, with a separate shower and toilet. The second bedroom had twin beds, but to get to the bathroom you had to go into the living, dining area, which meant you had to be covered with robe, etc. The kitchen functioned well with very good pots, pans and cutlery, but they skimped on the stove and dishwasher. The dishwasher was so noisy, you couldn't listen to TV while it was on or carry on a conversation. As a bonus feature it had a stacked washer/dryer, but this too, was very noisy and drowned out conversation. TV's were flat panel and very good, but reception could be a bit iffy. The free wine and cheese party was a laugh. The wine was doled out in a small plastic cup and only up to a mark about 2/3 full. The cheese and crackers were only so so. I certainly feel they could improve this aspect of our stay.

Stayed here with family members for a fall folage trip. Loved the 2 bedroom unit, great restraunt across the street, fun general store, wonderful location. Easy drive to all the quaint little towns in the Bershires and southern Vermont.

A beautiful location, especially to see the fall foliage. Great area to visit with lots of terrific places to see within 30 minutes to one hour drive. The rooms are quite nice, plenty of space and well equipped. Lack of on site dining can be a bit of an issue, but you just need to be aware before you arrive and get shopping done before you arrive.

After reading previous reviews regarding noise issues, we requested a top floor room and were happy to be given a room on the top floor at the very end of the hall. The master bedroom, however, was unusable as the person sleeping in the next unit (and the only common wall) snored so loudly that sleeping was not possible and we had to double up in the other room. If you stay here, go during a time when it is not busy, then, hopefully you won't have this problem.

Friend of mine suggested this resort for vacation; we stayed there for 7 nights in May this year. I love mountains and this location has great views. Chek-in was very quick. Our stay was very very pleasant. we had 2 bed room condo with full kitchen, 2 bathroom, jakucci, Living room, good size kitchen with fully equipped with dishes, utensils, and pots etc etc. We were five but 8 people can sleep easily. The staff at the reception was very professional and services was great. One of the staff member at reception ( forget the name but from India) had a great professional attitude and very very helpful.
Luckily we had top floor condo so don't have any noise issue. We are also participated in few of their activities and have lots of fun. Small theater with Movie is a nice feature. There is small store in the area but little bit expensive, you can go to Wal-Mart Pittsfield (20 mints from the resort) for grocery or anything you need.
Overall great vacation and highly recommend staying at this resort.

Room Tip: ask them to give you top floor, so you dont have any noice issue.

I was very nervous about the noise factor with this property but in fact it was one of the quietest units we have ever had perhaps due to the fact we were on the top floor at the end of the hall. We rarely heard sounds from the hall and nothing from our neighbors. The unit was very comfortable with probably the best equipped kitchen of time shares that I have found. Yes, the counter space was small and storage limited but with a little creativity there was no problem. The activities did not really appeal to us. The one social night was a big success and I am sure it was not just because there was a free glass of wine. People enjoyed meeting others. The staff were pleasant and helpful. The area itself is a delight to explore with so many towns and while a drive of 20 - 30 minutes is necessary the drive itself is part of the pleasure.

We were pleasantly surprised by the beauty of this part of Massachusetts in mid-September. It is in a remote part of the western part of the state so if you plan to eat in your room, stop at a grocery store on your way. We stopped in Wynantskill, NY, at a Hannaford and stocked up. Otherwise, there is a tiny (and expensive) "country store" within walking distance of the resort or you can also drive about half an hour to the nearest town to get groceries.

This resort was a great place to stay as a family of four. We had a two bedroom condo with the living room separating the two bedrooms. Contrary to other people's reviews, we did not hear our neighbors and we were on the second floor so had people above and next to us.

If you like a shower/bath combo, you'll be disappointed but there is a large jetted tub in the master bedroom/bathroom. The master shower is small but the second bathroom shower is a bit larger. There was also a hair dryer in each bathroom, which was a nice touch. The second bathroom doesn't have any counter space but does have a small glass shelf to put your toiletries on.

The kitchen area had very little counter space but did have a full-size refrigerator and stove and oven. It was also completely stocked with dishes, utensils, and pots and pans. There was not an ice maker in the freezer, but they do supply ice cube trays for you to make your own. We ate all of our breakfasts in the room as well as three other meals during our stay.

The pool was a neat indoor/outdoor combo. You swim under an opening to get to either side. It's heated so we were swimming out under the stars on a chilly night but not feeling cold at all! The indoor hot tub isn't working but they have it nicely covered. There are two outdoor hot tubs, one is under a huge gazebo. There is also an adult-only pool. For the time of year and fewer crowds, the pool size was quite adequate but I can see where it might get crowded quickly when the resort is really busy.

For the first time at any Wyndham resort we've stayed at, we participated in a couple of the activities. They had a great selection of things to do, free or small cost, ranging from movies to crafts to hiking outside. My girls especially enjoyed making their own soap, as did an adult guest who participated too.

The only downside to our stay was that in order to cool off the master bedroom to my husband's preference, our daughters in the second bedroom froze. Not sure if that would happen in each two bedroom unit or just ours!

Overall, however, we highly recommend staying at this resort.

Room Tip: If you plan to use the pool, ask for a room in one of the buildings adjoining the registration build...
