We just got married over Memorial Day and spent a mini-honeymoon here. The staff was very accommodating. Breakfast was nothing fancy, but it was perfect because we didn't want a huge breakfast anyway. We stayed in the best room in the entire place, in my opinion anyway, on the second floor in the middle. The room was a cool octagon kind of shape, with all of its windows overlooking the beautiful beach. It was relaxing and peaceful, and it was nice that the resort was not too crowded that weekend. Plenty of parking, nice chairs on the porch, and an easy walk to downtown Harwichport. The private beach was an added bonus. I would definitely recommend this place to others. My only complaint, and it's really not a complaint, was that they knew we just got married Saturday and were staying there right after our wedding- I thought there would be a little something in our room to celebrate (maybe a bottle of wine or some chocolate covered strawberries or something?). But nothing. That would have been a really nice touch. But overall, a wonderful and relaxing stay.

The venue and staff are excellent if you like a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We have stayed at the beach resort twice and have family who have stayed at the Inn. No complaints and much praise from everyone. Other guests we have met there feel the same way. The owners/manager and staff all contribute to a wonderful experience there. The properties are well-maintained with emphasis placed on "renewal" and upgrading constantly, all done very discreetly or in off-season so as to not disturb any guests. Breakfast is well-done, also, with muffins baked on premises that are light as a cloud. What can I say...? You have to experience this one for yourself.

Haven't been here in two years and decided it was time to take a break. Doug and his staff are simply awesome. We stayed in room 5, second floor with a small balcony overlooking the Atlantic. Loved the slight breeze and easy lapping noise of the waves. The bed was very comfortable, room extremely clean and staff very attentive.

The staff knows the area very well and recommended some very fine eating establishments. We went off season to save a few bucks. I would recommend the Winstead Inn to anyone that likes great service and wonderful views of the Atlantic.

There are many delightful hotels in the area, but we find the Winstead Inn by the Sea to be "the one"! We have been staying there for thirteen years and always with the next visit in mind. We have had friends join us there and they absolutely love it. The lovely thing is that in talking with others staying there many have the same affinity for the place! Come and enjoy the beauty of the inn and the delightful hosts and staff!

After 20 years of annual Cape vacations at other resorts we discovered the charms of the Winstead Beach Resort. The rooms are kept neat and clean and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The ocean views are breathtaking. If you want a comfortable, quiet place to sleep, and a lovely breakfast in the morning...with a private beach and deck right outside the door...this is it. It's certainly a treat to wake to the aroma of fresh muffins baking. We will be back, without a doubt!
