“Perfect Location”
Reviewed 22 September 2011

We could not have asked for a better location. Just steps to a lovely, quiet beach. Our cottage (#19) was attractive and spotless, There are umbrella tables on the deck and lounge chairs for the beach. The Innkeepers were very inviting, and very accomodating. September was a perfect time to visit - no long lines at restaurants and no traffic.

This was our second stay and it is even better with the new Innkeepers. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Joe & Deb: the accomodations and the location are 1st rate-we enjoyed meeting other guests and the quick and easy access to the beach- just a quick note it would be nice if the Harwich PD could keep better control of the beach parking area at night. Many loud and rowdy people with radios blaring, tires peeling, and unruly behavior woke us up both evenings- (we were in Chatam Room) Maybe you could pass that along to the locale constabulary- Many thanks

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at the Inn on the Beach and our only regret was that we didn't stay there for the entirety of our Cape Cod trip. As first timers to the Cape, we didn't realize just how convenient it was to have access to a private beach and not have to deal with the hassle/expense of parking at a beach. The water was warm and calm enough for our young children. The room was smallish but very comfortable and clean. The continental breakfast was convenient and it was a pleasure to start each day with a meal on the deck overlooking the Sound. The staff were very friendly and helpful; our children were thrilled when they were given kites our first afternoon to fly on a blustery day. The rates are very reasonable given the beach. We found Harwich a good location from which to visit other parts of the Cape and also appreciated that the Inn was only a short walk to the shops and restaurants in town. We loved everything about it and definitely hope to stay there when next we have the privilege to visit the Cape.

Charming inn with a private beach. Very reasonably priced compared to other inns with private beach area. Plenty of umbrellas and chairs, hammocks and more.
Rooms were cottage like.. Not fancy but cute and recently redone. Plus each has a private little patio to sit and read and dry out wet beach clothes.

I have been coming to Cape Cod for 25 years and this was the most amazing place I have ever stayed. Deb and Joe (owners) and staff could not have been any more accommodating and gracious . Room was CLEAN and fresh. Private beach not crowded like adjacent beach. Lovely continental breakfast . This place gives hospitality a new meaning . Thank you Deb and Joe ! Julie H.

We found paradise on the East Coast! My mother and I stayed at this lovely inn and had an amazing time. Deb and Joe, the inn’s new owners, are wonderful, incredibly hospitable, and seem to attract very nice guests. The inn’s location is unparalleled: it (i) is situated on a two-mile beach (the walks along the beach are fantastic) in Harwich Port, which is a beautiful, quaint little New England town, (ii) is within a five-minute walk to Main street (Route 28) where you can find some great restaurants (the Cape Sea Grille on Sea Street is superb for dinner!), and (iii) is very close to the Freedom Cruise Line which can be used to sail to Nantucket. In addition to its extremely convenient location and overall tranquility, the inn offers free parking, a generous breakfast that can be enjoyed on a beautiful patio with umbrellas, very clean and comfortable rooms and even hammocks on the beach! I cannot recommend it enough! We will keep coming back at least once a year!

My best friend and I went to the Cape to hear a friend sing and decided to pack a bag for the night. We called the "Inn on the Beach" to see if there were any rooms available. We spoke to Stephanie on the phone and she was so sweet and helpful. We were looking for a room on the water and found just what we wanted. It is beautiful, clean, quaint, and comfortable. Just what we were looking for. We had the pleasure to meet the new owner, Deb. She was wonderful. Cheerful and friendly. We spent the day relaxing on the beach, resting in the hammock, using the complementary beach chairs and umbrellas. Deb even set up a small table on the beach with refreshing ice water for the guests to enjoy! What a nice touch. We will make this Inn our girls escape destination. I wish Deb & her husband Joe the best of luck with their new business and will recommend it to everyone. Thank you we will be back!!!!
