This place is aesthetically pleasing inside, for a pizza place, and there's a nice outdoor seating area with a fireplace/pit. The service is good, as is the food. Our only issue- we were seated beneath a ceiling fan. Between the fan the a/c, it was nearly arctic in there. We asked to move tables. The restaurant wasn't crowded because we dine early on the Cape to avoid long waits, and they were hesitant to move us for a reason we still don't understand, as they were very cryptic. Aside from that, we had a good meal and would both return and recommend. Go early, or you will have a LONG wait for a table.

You expect a little char when you have coal fired pizza, but this was over the top. We stopped in after a long day of traveling to the cape and were seated right away. There was just 2 of us so it was easier for the restaurant to accommodate. Larger groups indicated at least an hour wait at 7:30pm.

The crust is thin and the large pizzas are small, so make sure you order a few if you're hungry!

We have been to Ember for the last three summers while vacationing on the Cape. This year, it has noticeably chenged. The service was great, but the pizzas came out completely charred. I understand you will get a bit of charcoal crusting for wood/coal stoves, but this was as if a novice was running the oven. Bottom line, 140.00$ tab for 3 large burnt pies, a salad, small wings, 4 sodas, and two beers. We will not be back

Me and my family love Ember. We usually go every year we go to the Cape and the pizza and wings were really good and one of our favorite places in the Cape. This year, it was a major dissapointment. The wings were good but the pizza tasted like charcoal and was burnt on the bottom completely! It didn't even taste like pizza at all! Worst $60 ever spent on take out. Even a friend of ours had the same problem. I bet they don't even look at the bottom of the pizza to see if it's burnt. They just put in a box and send it to whoever ordered it? Baloney. Whatever happened to the best pizza on the Cape? Total waste of money.

We spend our summers on Cape Cod and have been going to Ember since it opened. We only made it one time this summer and had a very bad experience. We were pleased but surprised that our party of 5 was seated right away since we've always waited in the past. Well, now we know why there wasn't a wait - everything has gone downhill and the restaurant was half empty. We waited almost 10 minutes before the waitress even came to our table. Waited another 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive and my husband's beer was warm. Waited a long time for our dinner - two pizzas and a sandwich (they were out of the appetizer we ordered). The pizza was lukewarm (at best). We had told the waitress the beer was warm and she did bring a cold one to the table (no apology and just left the warm one sitting there). Given the length of time we'd waited in this half empty restaurant, we didn't want to ask for new pizza but did ask to speak with the manager. He came to our table but, honestly, we don't think he could have cared less about our poor experience. He actually said, "so, what do you want me to do about it?" and just stood there. No apology, no offer to correct the situation, no offer to reduce the bill, no offer of free dessert. So, if you're looking for good pizza and good service, this is definitely not the place to go. Highly recommend you try Harwich Port House of Pizza (on the west side) or George's Pizza in town instead. It's counter service at both places but both have excellent pizza. Why go to Ember just to pay for horrendous service when the pizza isn't any good anyway??
