Two visits during our 10 days on vacation. First was during the week and we found the service to be quite good. Food was good, if nothing special. (Although the wings were done perfectly).

Friday night dinner was less pleasing. Long wait that turned out to be longer than estimated by about 30 minutes. Service staff and kitchen appeared overwhelmed. Pulled pork pizza was great though. Go mid-week and you'll enjoy it.

Yes, I know it is coal fired pizza but that doesn't mean it need to have half of the under side be burnt to a crisp. Gave the good side to the kids and got to have burnt crust taste in my mouth until we went next door to Sundae School for desert. The place fills up so there must be something people come for but for us, not the pizza.

We went here on a Friday night during the summer. We asked for an outside table and was told there was none so they sat us inside. We ordered Bruschetta which came out on a soggy piece of bread with way too much cheese on it-have never had it with cheese before. It was tasteless. We then ordered a pizza which came out burnt on the top but the crust was not cooked. We were not happy. And by the way, there was an outside table EMPTY the whole time we were inside.

This is our second year vacationing in Harwich Port and Embers has always looked inviting from the outside - with its' patio seating area and outdoor fire pit - but once inside the experience is incredibly disappointing. You can't get a reservation for parties of less than 6, which makes the limited outdoor seating even more limited. The pizza was awful. We also ordered fettuccine alfredo - which was also pretty bad. The service was lousy. And we were charged for more salad dressing on what was a pretty dry salad with minimal dressing to start. The price was ridiculous for the food we were served. You're all better off at a fried seafood place along Route 28.

This place is aesthetically pleasing inside, for a pizza place, and there's a nice outdoor seating area with a fireplace/pit. The service is good, as is the food. Our only issue- we were seated beneath a ceiling fan. Between the fan the a/c, it was nearly arctic in there. We asked to move tables. The restaurant wasn't crowded because we dine early on the Cape to avoid long waits, and they were hesitant to move us for a reason we still don't understand, as they were very cryptic. Aside from that, we had a good meal and would both return and recommend. Go early, or you will have a LONG wait for a table.
