“One of the Best on the Cape”
Reviewed 30 May 2014

This restaurant is one of the best all around restaurants on the cape. The wait staff was attentive and eager to answer every question. The waitress was rather new, but strived to achieve by asking the chef exactly how things are prepared. I had veal, and my wife had pistachio encrusted Halibut. Both meals excellent. The ambiance is very nice. We did not try the raw bar, but this should be a big hit during the summer months. This restaurant is not a dive, but a very nice place to dine anytime or on special occasions. The meals are rather expensive, but the food preparation is great.

“Don't order the fish tacos!”
Reviewed 26 April 2014

On an off season Friday evening at 7pm both bars were full and the dining room about half full. Cocktails were good and a shared Caesar salad was adequate. My husband ate every bit of his ($19) Kobe beef burger which was strangely served on a sweet tasting roll. Accompaniments were lettuce and tomato and 4 deep fried potato wedges and a small mound of onion rings. My fish taco shell was unremarkable and had a layer of something unidentifiable and tasteless in the bottom (some type of slaw?). That was topped with a piece of battered deep fried fish....that's all. One small bowl of tasteless salsa and another of what I think was ranch dressing came with it. I asked for hot sauce and was given Tabasco which didn't help at all. Service was just okay. My husband enjoyed a cup of coffee but we skipped dessert. We won't go back.

“Not so Hot”
Reviewed 12 April 2014

Dined there tonight with friends. Waitress very pleasant tho very busy with other tables. Found the menu to be limited at best and rather expensive for just average food. I had the Mediterranean Chicken and there were too many flavors fighting for attention-olives, red peppers, capers artichokes... Others had the pulled pork which was good but was mixed with corn and something else (about 3/4 cup worth) and presentation was lovely. But it was extremely spicy served with 3 steak fries and cole slaw that was very dry. The servings are on the skimpy side. We've been lucky enough experience dining all over the world but we agree this place is a definite NO for our next outing. There are so many good restaurants on the Cape, this isn't one of them.

“First rate”
Reviewed 14 October 2013

We took a well traveled friend here and she was impressed with the wine selection as well as the delicious entres. This was our second time here and we found it to be as good as our first visit. I have not hesitated to recommend this to our visiting guests and they also have not been disappointed. Safe to say the Port exceeds expectations

“Creative food and a nice atmosphere”
Reviewed 19 September 2013

We dined here with some hesitation given the recent reviews. So, my expectations we not very high. Frankly, we had a great meal. Two orders of oysters rockefeller - warm spinach salad with scallops and pumpkin ravioli (I know the latter sounds a bit funky - but it was very good). The oysters were the highlight of the meal - perfect preparation. Desert was bananas foster - a very large portion that would have benefited from a more creative presentation. Generally, a very good dining experience.
