We recently stayed at the English Hideaway Inn. It was delightful from beginning to end. Denise & Trevor are very sweet, hospitable & can't do enough for you.
The property is beautiful as are the rooms. Their breakfasts are delicious and the glass enclosed patio with the beautiful flowers & shrubbery on the outside gives you a feeling of being in paradise.

I came to the English Hideaway Bed and Breakfast with my girlfriend and we both loved it. Gorgeous location and the house really is a little slice of England except with great weather! Many thanks to Denise and Trevor for our wonderful stay, we will recommend to everyone.

Room Tip: Ask for the Berkshire room.

As a B&B owner myself, the two most important factors of a "home away from home" is the quality of sleep and the anticipation of a delicious breakfast. Denise and Trevor at this quaint English Hideaway accomplishes both. The rooms (and I stayed in 2 different bedrooms on 2 separate occasions) were elegant, cosy, well stocked with extra soaps and lotions, towels and fluffy pillows. With the windows open and a calm breeze flowing in, you could smell the exotic lilacs which bloomed everywhere. Downstairs in the main house, wonderful music played, the coffee and tea smells combined with bacon and warm banana muffins invited you to sit in a most spectacular authentic Tea / Breakfast room anxiously awaiting your meal. But first, there was the gorgeous crystal of yogurt/granola and fresh berry compote which awaited you each morning. After breakfast, their charming family would be working around the luscious gardens making sure the flowers bloomed for fresh cuttings in the rooms. I will return to this charming B&B when I revisit my son and tell everyone who wants a truly exceptional experience to visit Denise and Trevor Forbes in Housatonic near Great Barrington. It is a luxury everyone needs to experience.

Room Tip: Just call Denise for any of the 4 rooms available.

My husband, myself and my 16 year old son stayed at the English Hideaway Inn in June 2011,
We were just thrilled with the overall quality of our room, the grounds are delightful and the Innkeepers are wonderful! We loved our stay however brief..We recomend this great little jewel in the Birkshires! Oh, the breakfast was amazing..
