“Love the outdoor terrace dining!”
Reviewed 10 December 2012

GREAT location - the outdoor patio looks out over Nantasket beach and is one of the more stunning views available. The food is mediocre to good, standard pub food. Definitely try to sit outside here if you come on a nice day.

“Great Food and staff”
Reviewed 18 October 2012

Close to accommodation, so an easy walk.Questioned the "out if state ID" notice, but we were advised it wouldn't be necessary. Server very nice and attentive, recommended a local beer to compliment the rib eye steaks, which were cooked to perfection. A very enjoyable experience.

“Beautiful view the worst food and drinks”
Reviewed 29 September 2012

The only thing safe to purchase in this restaurant should come in a bottle. Great views but their food is horrible. They need to fire the entire kitchen staff and start over. The inside of the restaurant is dirty and smells. They need to hire an experienced front of the house manager to train the staff. You wait way too long for food and when it arrives it is cold. I could go on. Great location but they need to start over again. Warning: don't waste your time or money.

“Nice View But Skip the Food”
Reviewed 17 September 2012

Boy, did I want to like Beachfire! Why is it so hard to find a waterfront restaurant with decent food? Despite the spectacular sea-side setting of this place, or maybe because of it, we get the typical phoned-in, mediocre fare of every other waterfront seafood joint from the Mid-Cape to the North Shore. (Think greasy fried seafood; burgers; limp, over-dressed salads and Costco chicken wings. I will, however, amend that to say the chowder here is good.) This place has so much potential to be a really killer year-round restaurant, it's such a shame to see yet another waterfront spot coasting by on its pretty view and ability to sell booze. (I would LOVE to see Gordon Ramsey get his mitts on this place!)

Do go to this place with a full stomach and lowered gustatory expectations on a beautiful summer evening to enjoy drinks, excellent live music and a spectacular water view. If you squint past the sloppy clientele and beleaguered wait staff and don't eat the food you can almost imagine you're in La Jolla. Wear your drinking shoes, (ie NOT heels) because the footing on the outdoor terrace can be a little uneven. Also, unless you can find a spot on the street, expect to pay $7 to park in the Nantasket Beach lot. Cramped quarters in the restroom, too. (And would it kill them to empty the overflowing trash in there?)

“all about the view”
Reviewed 14 September 2012

The restaurant had a musty, old smell which immediately turned us off. The bartender was being trained by the manager and we waited 10 mins at the bar (there were only 2 other people) to get a drink. The manager was making chocolate milkshakes for all the employees. We left after our drink unimpressed.
