We recently stayed at the Nantasket Beach Resort for the weekend. It is very close to Boston, but feels like a beach town. We had a great time, beautiful views of the ocean and nice beach to walk on. The room was nice and had fireplace. The street outside was noisy and you could hear the traffic. The staff very helpful.

Food was very good, had both breakfast and dinner at the hotel 2 times. Would recommend the place for a weekend getaway.

Room Tip: Get a room facing the ocean. The rooms facing the street are noisy at night from the traffic.

Our room faced the ocean and each morning we started our day out on the balcony and admired the view. We would walk across the street to walk the beach, simply beautiful. The restaurant at this hotel, Paragon Grill is delicious. When we made our reservations, we went ahead and added daily breakfast to reservation, it was well worth it. The room is spacious, includes a fire place, we loved the jetted bathtub which came in handy after 10 hours of walking around Boston. My only gripe is the hot water was not consistent.

We would stay again.

Room Tip: We had a King with a gas fireplace and a balcony on the ocean side- definitely recommend this - bed...

Half an hour from Dallas airport is this awesome summer beach hotel in Nantasket. The drive to Hull is awesome and the town is quite deserted during non peak time. However this is the only quality hotel in Hull.

Restaurant and the bar is the only busy place during the evenings.

Room Tip: Ask for water facing rooms

We live in Boston. Nantasket Beach Resort is 18 miles away. Boston can't offer you closer views of the ocean at affordable prices, gourmet meals to equal if not surpass the high end, snobby Boston restaurants, quieter surroundings, and the nicest staff you can ever meet.

We were here in March, said we would come back and we have decided to come back to celebrate our anniversary. The staff has done everything imaginable (including surprising us with a suite instead of a regular room, candies, and chocolate covered strawberries) to make this one of the most memorable anniversary celebrations.

This is relationship building at its finest. Try it, you'll love it.

Room Tip: 364 is our favorite. But if you come, when we want to, we're going to beg harder than you to ge...

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. Nice enough room, decent views and close enough to Boston. With that being said, Kathy and Mary and one other at the front desk(female) were amazing and accommodating. Very good with information and assistance. The night front desk guy, was HORRID. He wasn't paying attention when talking with me on the phone and cost me over an hour of wait time for a ride from the subway station. The drivers were all nice and courteous. The hotel could be a little more accommodating when it comes to providing rides to and from transit for their guests. It's a pain in the butt sometimes. Also, off-season is not a good time to want a late night pizza, there is NO option! LOL Ok, so the travel to public transportation needs work on the hotel's part. Now, the restaurant downstairs. NO FREE BREAKFAST of any kind. Apparently they have breakfast vouchers but you have to pay for them. That option was never offered to us, a couple on their honeymoon......weird! Food was good though and service was good on two of our three visits down there. We were ok with that. This hotel was more than acceptable for the price, we enjoyed our stay here overall and just had a few minor nuisances. We loved Mary and Kathy as those two are great sources.

Room Tip: Get one ON the ocean and ask about breakfast vouchers.

I will qualify this by saying that I got royally spoiled the day before at an amazing B & B in New Hampshire, so perhaps my expectations were too high for the price....Short version- yes, we had ocean view room, a king bed, a fireplace and jet tub. The ocean view was through a very small corner window, the balcony seemed unsafe-ish and was too small to really sit and enjoy (not that there was a chair anyways), the fireplace is temperature controlled to the room, so could not be turned on/off for ambiance, the room was on the cramped side, and the jets to the tub did not work. The room was clean, but I realized the next morning, when it was too late, that we had no shampoo. I left a polite note for housekeeping asking for shampoo instead of double conditioner.....but when we got back that night, we had no shampoo or towels, but 4 conditioners (either a misunderstanding or a wicked sense of humour- either way, quickly remedied at the front desk, who was great to deal with). In their defence, it appeared that there were several weddings happening, so I think staff had their hands full, but were always pleasant. We didn't utilize the restaurant/lounge, although we could certainly hear the music until quite late (we were on the 3rd floor, and not early sleepers anyways so weren't really affected- but if you are early to bed, a higher floor would be a prudent request). Overall, feeling pretty indifferent about our stay, probably a better pick in the summer when the beach can be enjoyed.

Room Tip: Higher floors will be less affected by traffic/lounge music noise
