My wife and I just returned from a wonderful vacation in Hyannis and wanted to write about our great experience staying at The Anchor In. First of all, the location of the hotel was perfect for us - close enough to Main street to walk to all the shops and restaurants, but far enough away from all the hub bub of the other vacationers and their kids. This place was quiet and very peaceful so you could enjoy just floating in the pool listening to the sounds of the boats and ferries as they come and go in the harbor after a day of viewing this beautiful Cape with all its flowers, beaches and old American charm.
Also incredible was the service and attention we received from the staff at the hotel. They simply went above and beyond. From getting us dinner reservations - even mapping out ways for us to find Edward Hopper's hard-to-find home/studio - and simply making our visit to the Cape very easy and enjoyable. We shout out kudos to Sandy, Janet, Chris, and Francis for not only making our visit memorable, but making us feel welcome and wanting to come back which we are certainly planning on as soon as possible. Also worth mentioning is the sumptuous continental breakfast - delicious fresh fruits and lots of variety.

Well worth a visit. Setting is charming and the views of Hyannis Harbor cannot be beat. Quiet place to read a book or the morning paper watching the boats go by. Rooms are nice and service is friendly. Breakfast was simple, but excellent. Eat in the quaint library or the solarium overlooking the harbor. Not inexpensive, but the nicest hotel in the area.

This is our 3rd visit to the Anchor Inn. Once again we had friendly service, great accomodation. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony in the evenings reflecting on our days activities. Perfect location if you want to visit Martha's Vineyard.Hope to return again soon from your British Guests xx

The room was very clean and fresh. Water pressure is unbelievable in the shower. ( we had been staying at B and B's until Hyannis. Everyone was friendly and the breakfast was very nice. This place a nice view of the ships and water area. It is close enough to walk everywhere to shop, eat or exercise. I would consider staying there again.

The view from our very large window and balcony was a constant delight even when the weather, unfortunately, closed in. On a rainy afternoon it was also great to have the pleasant and cosy guests' library/sitting room for reading or chatting to other guests and sipping the tea, coffee or hot chocolate provided round the clock. The staff were friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful while the room was very large, well furnished and spotless - as was the bathroom. Added bonuses were the chaise lounge, fridge and coffee-making area. A very comfy bed and an abundance of fresh white towels added to an incredibly pleasant stay.
Breakfast was self-serve from the charming kitchen and provided an excellent variety. There appeared to be more than a few guests who were regulars. Located a very short walk from the ferries, the wharf restaurants and the main street mean that this hotel is a must if you visit Hyannis.
