The Anchor In was a breath of fresh air in Hyannis Port. The staff was polite and helpful, the room was spacious with a lovely view of the water, and the breakfast, balcony, heated pool and fire pit were an added bonus. A friend recommended this place, and goodness, was she right! We called a few months before travel and got a better rate. We were here three nights and I wish we could have stayed longer. We took day trips to Nantucket and Martha's Vineyard, and the ferry terminal was about a 5 minute walk away. I can't think of anything bad to say about this place!!

Our family of 5 stayed at the Anchor In for three nights and enjoyed it very much. We squeezed into one of their larger rooms, with 2 in each queen bed and one on the convertible sofa, which was our choice. Fortunately, the weather was spectacular and we were able to take advantage of the nice pool and nightly firepit. Additionally the location was perfect and from our corner room, we thoroughly enjoyed the view of Hyannis harbor from our panoramic windows. The complimentary breakfasts each morning were ample and hearty. Overall our experience was very good.

We visited the Anchor In after a visit to Children's Hospital in Boston - and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We typically stay down Cape for our annual vacation following our Boston appointments. This time, with traffic increasingly becoming an issue getting off Cape, I decided to book in Hyannis. I'm so glad we found the Anchor In. It was so accommodating to my family - to include my son's service dog. Upon arrival, the hotel manager was waiting for us and we received such a warm welcome. The room chosen for us was perfectly located near the pool and fire pit which my children enjoyed each evening. Being able to walk out on your deck each morning to view the boats coming and going is such an added plus. More than anything, the staff and accommodations rank the highest. The breakfast served each morning provides for a variety of tastes and pleasures. And there was more than enough room for all the hotel guests to be seated in an area of their choice. Worried that we'd be the only family there, I was pleased to see the variety of guests staying (business, family, couples, etc.) Everyone was very friendly and did not seem to mind seeing a service dog perusing the "pet free" facilities. We normally, don't stay in the same place when we visit each year, but Anchor In is the exception. We will, for sure, return next year. By far the best place we've stayed on the Cape.

Room Tip: All the rooms have exceptional views of the Bay. If you have children - ask for a room closest to t...

Researching the site, we chose to reserve rooms at the Anchor Inn for the first week in June. Unfortunately, they were booked up. When we arrived in Hyannis at a different motel, it was astoundingly depressing. I phoned the Anchor and found they had a cancellation. We stayed 4 nights instead of 3. The staff was incredibly helpful, had restaurant and tour recommendations that were top drawer. The place is clean, spacious and fosters a warm, friendly atmosphere. Great location. Affordable. All it really lacked was a fitness center and, perhaps, afternoon snacks in the library. Would recommend it to anyone, anywhere, anytime.

Room Tip: Get a room on either floor closest to the harbor

Spent 2 nights here on a short break away. The hotel is in a fantastic position overlooking the harbour and from our balcony on the second floor we had great views of the boats, and various ferry's coming and going. Our room was spacious, well furnished and spotlessly clean. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious! There are plenty of restaurants within walking distance and it was a pleasure in the evening to sit outside by the fire pit and watch the world go by. We would definitely stay here again if we ever have the pleasure of visiting this area. Only one very small niggle, hence not the 5 rating, I would have liked the pool to be open later in the evening, we were told it closed at 7 and on a lovely sunny evening it could perhaps stay open a little later, however still a very nice hotel I would highly recommend.

From the warm, fun and professional welcome to the comfortable bright room overlooking the harbour, this was a treat from start to finish. The pool was never full but a welcome opportunity after a days sight seeing (not sure how heated it is - refreshing!) Breakfast is fresh, tasty and of excellent quality with pleasant and efficient service. Plenty of parking, near the ferries and 10 min walk to Hyannis centre. There is a food store 5 mins away (come out front, turn right then left & left again at top of the street). Only wish was the chairs on the balcony were lower and allowed easy use of tables provided - oh, and where were those cookies Chris ;) Loved it!

We stayed at the Anchor Inn in June 2014 for 5 nights. The hotel is in the perfect location for traveling and sightseeing all of the cape. The people at the hotel are very professional, friendly and attentive to all our needs.Their recommendations for the sights and the restaurants were on point. My wife is already looking forward to her next trip to the cape . Staying here is the place to be.

Room Tip: Go to the two seafood choices by the ferry on the water . Choose the seafood chowder at Spankys.
