We visited Cape Cod over the long weekend and enjoyed our stay at the Heritage house hotel. We liked the location of the hotel and enjoyed the morning breakfast. The hotel has a indoor swimming pool and whirlpool that badly requires maintenance. Otherwise we had good rooms and room service.

Room Tip: please ask for a room in the main building

We were here for 2 nights as part of a bus tour and I must agree with many of the other reviewers. The building & facilities could use some caring TLC. Our room had a noisy air conditioner which did not seem adjustable. Wifi was adequate but not satisfactory - too many disconnects and re-logins required. Breakfast was good but the buffet was very poorly set up and the room was tight. I couldn't take a shower because the bath tub was very slippery and there was no non-slip surface or mat - a major safety concern for a big man. A minor issue, but arrival was a bit confusing because of the poorly labelled elevator buttons. Looks like they were too cheap to get the buttons replaced when they added an extra floor to the building.

The rooms, and included breakfast, were average, but the location was excellent. We were able to park the car at the hotel and walk almost everywhere that we wanted to go, including the center of town and the ferry ports. The biggest downside was that the Wi-Fi service was very poor. Most evenings there was effectively no service, and when we did get service it was very slow. The staff was friendly and responsive, but the breakfast staff was a bit undermanned.

500.00 for a Friday and Saturday Night Stay in the Summer on Cape booked last minute because of lack of availability was our scenario. Definitely would not ever book there again! Stayed in main building which is said to be better than the other buildings but still not very great. Clean enough I guess. Small room, view of the parking lot with a lousy balcony.Indoor and outdoor Pools ok. Crap pillows and bedding. Crap Tv reception and channels. No microwave. CRAP WI-FI...almost non existent. Not much for Hba product..one bar of soap. My advice book early and book someplace else!

Room Tip: Dont do it!

Went on a bus trip for 4 nights to Hyannis, Mass. Our accommodations were very nice. The breakfast was very nice every morning. My only concern was the refrigerator in our room made noise which you could hear when the air conditioner was not on. It seemed to make a buzzing noise every half hour then stop. This was no fault of the hotel.

Location: End of Main street. Ideal for walking the entire "strip" Kind of a hike to the beach but very close to the harbor. Easy to find and convenient. Free and ample parking. Pricing: Comparable to other mid-range hotels in the area. High season $199. I would say this is the best pricing for value based on what is directly on Main street. There are a few B&B’s in the area and the old cuddles and bubbles (now called The international, still trashy). I would have chosen the Hyannis Harbor hotel but they were close to $400 per night. Booking: very easy online – they had the best price on their own site (included free breakfast buffet) Staff: Friendly and unassuming. Someone what informative, not overly eager or prideful of the hotel. Seems to be a certain level of weariness due to wild drunken vacationers and complaining cranky elderly folks (saw plenty of Trip Advisor reviews and saw many in the lobby and room next to us complaining for no good reason) Cleanliness: 4.5 score on a high scale of 10. This is an older hotel and some remodeling is apparent but the upkeep simply isn’t there. The lobby bathroom had no soap and someone could even be bothered to restock the TP back on the roll. I have never seen any staff member that swamped at the front desk, or anywhere else for that matter, that they can’t take 5 minutes to do a sweep of the common areas. The Pool bathroom area is extremely outdated and just feels very dirty. I’ve avoided using it both times I stayed. The hallways have ancient carpet but its vacuumed and I didn't see any trash laying around. Room: I’ve stayed in the executive king both times. The room is extremely large. Furniture was standard and mostly clean. Iron board, alarm clock , coffee maker, all that standard jazz. Some annoying things were cigarette burns on the arm chair. There was a lady outside our room screaming that her room stunk of smoke but our room was totally fine. An armoire missing it’s fridge because the old large oversized one does not fit inside the cabinet. Also someone complained about the fridge being noisy and while it was certainly not quiet I was too tired from enjoying a busy vacation outside of my room to care. Bathroom was stocked with standard items and clean towels. While the tub was clean the shower curtain could use a thorough scrubbing. The TV is pretty modern and has HDMI plug in if you travel with your smart pad. Note – the wifi is horribly cripplingly slow. The front desk has zero solutions for this. The king bed is basic and the top comforter should be burned – it’s old and gross, but the sheets were clean. Also there were only 2 pillows for the bed. Wish they had more. Restaurant: Chauncy’s just seems like and old pub/restaurant serving basic American Fare. The buffet was plentiful but no bloody mary’s as the bar doesn't open till 5p. The staff was kind and attentive. I’m inclined to think that because they are charging $200 + in the high-season this type of basic breakfast should automatically be included. I would have never paid more than $5 dollars for the entire meal. Amenities: welp not much except for the pools (indoor and outdoor) hot tub, little computer area in the lobby. The sauna shouldn’t even be listed. They’d be better off tearing it down and adding changing rooms. I wouldn't say they’re restaurant Chauncey’s is an amenity, there are so many higher quality dining options a minutes walks away. Thanks for reading! My husband, myself and our son stayed at the hotel for two nights. Upon arrival, the hotel seemed decent from the outside, but after arriving in our room it was clear cleanliness was not a priority. The bathtub was dirty and the rooms were outdated. The next morning we decided to try the breakfast buffet. Although the waitstaff was cordial, they were out of orange juice, eggs and fruit salad for at least 20 minutes. We had to ask for more which is unacceptable at a buffet! We barely at $5 worth of food and the bill was $20 for 2 adults. Also, the creamers for the coffee were spoiled. Overall, location was convenient but for the price we paid, I would not recommend staying here unless you no expectations.
