Description: The Eclectic Cafe is a most unusual restaurant. You will discover intimate tables covered with sparkling white tablecloths and adorned with flowers and candles whose flames gently flicker in the summer evening breeze. The tables are spaced discretely and politely apart from one another offering you a private romantic setting under the twilight and stars above. Exploring beyond the patio, you discover the Eclectic Cafe's cozy lounge with its friendly "Cheers" style atmosphere. Upon entering the lounge with its red brick floor and natural wood covered walls, you notice something else that is most unusual. The Eclectic Cafe Bar. Its a spotless restaurant kitchen that adjoins and is wide open to the lounge so that patrons can watch the Chef and his staff stirring up their wonderful culinary magic for the Eclectic Cafe's honored guests. The Eclectic Cafe's attractive and friendly hostess welcomes you and offers you your choice of our sheltered indoor or starlit outdoor patio seating. Arriving at your table, you take your seat and begin to relax and enjoy your favorite beer, wine, or mixed beverage. As you look over the Eclectic Cafe's Menu, it becomes appetizingly clear why we call this the Eclectic Cafe on Cape Cod. The Eclectic Cafe's menu proposes an unequaled choice of imaginative mouth watering appetizers and entrees drawing from the freshest Cape Cod seafood, choicest prime meats, poultry, and vegetables all presented to you like a work of museum quality art. Mere words and pictures cannot possibly do justice to the discriminating tastes and feel of The Eclectic Cafe Restaurant in Hyannis on Cape Cod. You must experience the real thing! Some fine evening, just travel west toward the setting sun on Main Street Hyannis on Cape Cod until you find that mysterious red brick walkway, sheltered by the bright blue canopy that leads you into the amazing adventure known as the Eclectic Zone. PARKING: There is street parking on Main Street. You can also take your first right after Eclectic (Sea Street Ext) (and then first right again (North Street) and then first right into the large municipal parking area. Go straight ahead in the parking lot to the far end and you will be nearly behind Eclectic Cafe. Walk through to alley leading to Main Street. Turn right and you are only steps from Eclectic Cafe's entrance.

“Do Not Miss This One!!!!!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 September 2011

WoW! 1st time there. Do not pass up the little blue awning between bldgs. on Main St. before Sea St. on rt. heading west. Follow the "red brick lane" in, you'll feel like you are in Carmel or Sedona. Outdr. Cafe with heaters, candle lt., live music (including singer, Sat.). Hanging plants, filled window boxes and warm dusty rust color walls, coy pond, very romantic. Also indoor seating and bar area with TV. The waitstaff seemed plentiful and attentive. Our waitress was knowledgable about the food/wine. Very pleasant. The chowder was not your thick flour only potatoes kind. True broth hint of cream and very tastey. Salads were lg. and amazing. The BEST salmon I've ever had! Fresh crispy snow peas and delicious rice. Husband had a special scallop dish with three sauces, coconut rice and plenty of asparagus. I don't care for scallops but I gave them a taste and they were very good. Drinks were good and dessert was outrageous!
Very large portions and creative choices, try to save room! You'll be best with a reservation, but people did come from off the street. A reservation taker is at the entrance under the blue awning on Main. It was on our list for a long time (yrs.) and finally got to go-SOOOOO glad we did!!!!!

“Great atmosphere - Trully "eclectic"”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 August 2011

My wife and travel to the vape ech summer, but had never tried this restaurant. It is set mack off Main Street in downtown Hyannis and is not visible from the street. My brother lives in Hyannis and told us to give it a try and they really liked it. Good advise! The atmosphere is tremendous. You walk down a well appointed walkway from teh street to the courtyard restaurant. Most people were sitting outside although there are tables inside as well as an attractive bar. We were not starving and decided we would stop for drinks and appetizers. We were greeted by an attractive and very friendly young hostess. She told us the tables were reserved for dinner and for drinks etc they seat you in the bar. However, she said she would check with the manager as there were tables open in the courtyard. With the managers approval, we were seated at a nice table in the center of an attractive courtyard. The waitress and waiter on duty were very attentive and extremely friendly. The appetizers were excellent as were the drinks. With the ambiance and the friendliness of the staff it is a great vacation dinner spot. Don't be discouraged by the location. Once you enter the main courtyard (restaurant) you are transformed into an oasis which keeps your vacation going on through dinner r drinks. Definitely a place to visit. We will be back.

A hidden jem!!! Not to many people think to go here, but it's one of my favorites. Best short ribs I have ever had. It has a wonderful out door seating, with a romantic feel. The staff is fun and on point. Great cocktails, music, and dinning. It's a must do it your headed down Main Street Hyannis :)

“Beautiful atmosphere”

Very cozy comfortable! However, very overpriced for the quality of the food. Would consider going back for wine but not for dinner.
