Description: The Eclectic Cafe is a most unusual restaurant. You will discover intimate tables covered with sparkling white tablecloths and adorned with flowers and candles whose flames gently flicker in the summer evening breeze. The tables are spaced discretely and politely apart from one another offering you a private romantic setting under the twilight and stars above. Exploring beyond the patio, you discover the Eclectic Cafe's cozy lounge with its friendly "Cheers" style atmosphere. Upon entering the lounge with its red brick floor and natural wood covered walls, you notice something else that is most unusual. The Eclectic Cafe Bar. Its a spotless restaurant kitchen that adjoins and is wide open to the lounge so that patrons can watch the Chef and his staff stirring up their wonderful culinary magic for the Eclectic Cafe's honored guests. The Eclectic Cafe's attractive and friendly hostess welcomes you and offers you your choice of our sheltered indoor or starlit outdoor patio seating. Arriving at your table, you take your seat and begin to relax and enjoy your favorite beer, wine, or mixed beverage. As you look over the Eclectic Cafe's Menu, it becomes appetizingly clear why we call this the Eclectic Cafe on Cape Cod. The Eclectic Cafe's menu proposes an unequaled choice of imaginative mouth watering appetizers and entrees drawing from the freshest Cape Cod seafood, choicest prime meats, poultry, and vegetables all presented to you like a work of museum quality art. Mere words and pictures cannot possibly do justice to the discriminating tastes and feel of The Eclectic Cafe Restaurant in Hyannis on Cape Cod. You must experience the real thing! Some fine evening, just travel west toward the setting sun on Main Street Hyannis on Cape Cod until you find that mysterious red brick walkway, sheltered by the bright blue canopy that leads you into the amazing adventure known as the Eclectic Zone. PARKING: There is street parking on Main Street. You can also take your first right after Eclectic (Sea Street Ext) (and then first right again (North Street) and then first right into the large municipal parking area. Go straight ahead in the parking lot to the far end and you will be nearly behind Eclectic Cafe. Walk through to alley leading to Main Street. Turn right and you are only steps from Eclectic Cafe's entrance.

We returned to this cute place once again to check it out. It was late night on a Friday and they had a small food menu. I was starving and the burger tasted great at that point :) the fried potatoes were very unique.

While in Hyannis for a week on business, I wanted to find a place that was relatively quiet, where I could plunk myself down at the bar, have a drink, enjoy a meal, and watch the Red Sox. The Eclectic Cafe was perfect for this. I enjoyed it the first time, and I returned the following 4 nights. I give this place 4 stars because, although the food was generally very good, improvements could be made. The chicken was a bit dry. The caesar salad was rather crappy. It contains far too much lettuce and far too little of everything else that is supposed to be in it. My favourites were the beat salad, the bass, and the salmon. The regular server at the bar was terrific. She worked hard and was kind and attentive. She made me feel very welcomed. There was also a woman (Sam) greeting customers on the sidewalk at the entrance who was very warm and welcoming.

We were very disappointed in the food. Our waiter seemed inexperienced and untrained. We both ordered the special, striped bass. My husband was served the tail piece, which was overcooked and bony. At $37, the tail piece should never be used. The price for the special was also $10 over the price of most of the other entrees. We definitely got "taken", but we won't be back.

We have eaten upand down the strip in Hyannis. Decided to do a food crawl with the best for last. Entree at ecletic, disappointed. My boyfriend had the short rib, it was good but the risotto lacked that creamy depth of flavor. I had the $40 crispy skin striper special over fresh veggie ratatouile It was ok, not the best. We decided not to eat dessert, the table next to us was disappointed with dessert.
The service was amazing! The waiter and girl for our drinks were attentive and knowledgable about the menu. We wanted to love it, just fell a little short.

this tucked away café off the main drag in Hyannis is a true jewel. let yourself be greeted by the friendly hostess and walked through a beautifully gardened corridor, with little adirondack chaired nooks and led to a table outside in their courtyard, in front of a little stage, or go inside by the handsome bar into a gracious dining room. read the menu and discover that, unlike many places in which the menu tastes better than the food it describes, it is the opposite here. the plates are beautiful and well balanced, the ingredients are fresh and well-chosen and the service is warm and professional. our party had the seared scallops, angus steak and the daily special halibut. everything was flawlessly cooked and served with delicious and well-chosen sides. some of the food and drink comes on add china plates, including tiny espresso cups! even the cocktails are well-made and interesting (try the Sin-ful--a Hendricks martini with cucumber and white vermouth or the very minty Mojito). they have live music most nights that leans mostly to jazz.

many Cape restaurants have good food, or good service, or live music, but few have all of this and a romantic atmosphere that makes you want to return again.
