“Aargh! A blast for the little mateys!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 31 August 2013

The adventure went way beyond my expectations! It included everything from flag hoisting to pirates (and traitors) and of course buried treasure! This was one Hyannis attraction I was particularly happy to splurge on during our vacation. I loved especially how the kids' name tags were prepared in advance with adjectives rhyming with each child's name (for example my son's said: Rowdy Russell, which suited him just fine. :) ) It looked like everyone including all the parents had an amazing time. Very entertaining! In addition, I was impressed that the captain was sensitive to my older son's needs (he has autism). Seeing that my son had on his headphones for noise reduction, he came up to us at the beginning and made sure everything was alright. :) That was really nice.

“5 year olds, and THEY LOVED IT RRRRRRRR”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 August 2013

I took my twin 5 year old girls and my 12 year old, its definitely for 8 and under I would say, the girls LOVED it, not so much the 12 year old all though he didn't complain. The got cool name tags, got to sing and yell, and play pirate on a real boat with "real" pirates. The crew basically takes your kids on this adventure to search for hidden treasure which you actually find, while you sit back and laugh and take pictures. They did such a great job with the kids. I HIGHLY recommend it if you are in the area.

“Best for 5 (or 6) to 10 years olds”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 August 2013

We went on this at the beginning of August with our 2 kids (almost 3 and almost 5). Our kids are really into pirates so we thought it would be fun, but it seemed to be for the older kids (OR those running the ship need to intervene a bit more). When it came to hands on portions such as hoisting the flag or shooting the water cannons, everyone would run to the activity nudging the smaller kids out of the way (and running over them). Sorry but a 10 yo is always going to win over a 3 yo or even 5 yo....It is incredibly hot for the kids - no sun protection. Parents can sit back in a shielded area if you don't want to be up close to the kids...but if you want to do that, I would not spend the money for any more than one adult to go onboard. (I was amazed to see both mom and dad sit in the back away from the kids because it ain't cheap).

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2013

My kids have done this three times in 4 years and love it every time. The crew is so energetic and totally into it. They look like they personally enjoy every minute! The kids have a blast and so do the parents.

Keep up the awesome job!

“Don't miss this with your kids/grandkids! Worth every penny!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 August 2013

The 'actors' have the kids engaged from the minute they meet them on the dock to the time they leave the ship. They have name tags ready (with each child's name and pirate name) ready for them and they address each one by name as they include them in the adventure . There is no 'down time' at all. They have them building a pirate map puzzle, searching the shore for landmarks, fighting off the sea witch with a series of water cannons - with plenty of time for all to participate, hoisting flags, pulling up and sharing pirate treasure. They drink pirate's 'grog' (actually cream soda) and dance the limbo to celebrate finding the treasure and defeating the sea witch. The kids absolutely loved it. Even at the end, they get all the kids together at the bow of the ship for 'you' to get a great picture - not to take one themselves and get you to buy it. This is a hard-working crew so please do tip them - they go out of their way to make it a fun and enjoyable adventure for all.
