“Great place to stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 September 2008

Well, what can I say...review is better late than never, I guess, but I was determined to get this written. My sister and I visited in July for a little R&R. I booked room in May and had great feedback from Terry and Al. I had questions and they e-mailed back to me promptly and answered any questions I had. Upon arrival, we were greeted as if we were family. That's the important part. They truly are very kind and helpful people. All the previous reviews are the real thing. Not only did they answer questions, but gave us suggestions on things to do, places to go, etc.

Our room was VERY clean and the beds comfortable. Our room had a kitchenette and coffee maker, but we never used it. We really were on vacation and didn't feel like getting it out and making it. Now, if you want a luxury hotel with a pool, this is not it. This is strictly a place to rest your head at night while you are out and about all day. But they have a nice continental breakfast with coffee and the rooms were clean. What more could you ask? I am a stickler for cleaniness and this place had it. Would I stay again? You betcha. I feel like I know Terry and Al and would love to come again and visit. (Plus the little thank you gift was sweet). Nice folks, nice room, nice central area.

As has been noted time and time again on Trip Advisor, The Sea Coast Inn proved to be a comfortable and convenient option when staying in Cape Cod. My boyfriend and I spent a great deal of time researching our options prior to our late August '08 getaway and came to the conclusion that for our first trip to the Cape, we should find a central and affordable location to stay. Sea Coast definitely met and exceeded our needs, thanks primarily to the very helpful owners, Terri and Al. From the moment we checked in until the moment we left, they graciously offered countless suggestions for places to go, local restaurants to try and scenic driving routes to take. Terri even lent us beach towels and a backpack for a bike riding excursion. While Sea Coast is indeed a basic motel located in a less then attractive part of Hyannis, there's so much in both walking and driving distance, that it proved to be an excellent solution to an overwhelming amount of choices in the area. One more thing, when we checked out Al sweetly handed us a box of locally made Salt Water taffy, a nice (and tasty) surprise to remind us of our trip when we returned home!

  • Liked — The friendly and helpful owners, the convenient mid-Cape location.
  • Disliked — Not scenic, few ammenities.

Not sure what to say that hasn't already been said, but wanted to add my praises for Al and Terry. They are truly wonderful people and you come away feeling like family. Terry spends as much tme as necessary with each guest to help plan each day's itenerary. When they heard we were headed to the beach,
they offered to lend beach chairs, towels and a cooler full of ice Al even loaded them in the car for us. There was an umbrella ready to loan when there was a little rain. One couple arrived well after breakfast had ended, and food and beverage were prompty brought back out to serve them. The accomodatons are extremely clean and well maintained, and the kitchenette is handy. The location is great, within easy walking to the harbour and ferries, as well as the dining on Main Street. If you are looking for clean, comfortable, affordable accomodations in Hyannis - you won't do better than the Seacoast Inn.

Best place on the Cape - by far

Expect good old hospitality, friendliness and guides that know the Cape - that sums up Terri and Al, the owners of this little gem who go out of their way to help in any way possible.

Rooms are clean, breakfast is good and location is excellent

Will return

Just needed a place to sleep for 2 nights and picked the Seacoast due to its location, price and reviews on this site. It was a great value--very clean and comfortable ( I rated it above average based on value for the money not in comparison to more luxurious digs). Owners great. Only minus was the alarm clock radio coming on at 6 am on our second morning. As we had never touched it, it seems that the housekeeper must have put the radio when cleaning and then got the control only to alarm not off. But that was human error. Breakfast was pretty good, donuts, bagel, cream cheese & cereal.

  • Liked — clean & value priced
  • Disliked — air conditioning typical unit that comes on and off

Booked 2 nights, stayed 4 and would have stayed longer but had to move on. The owners are so helpful, had all the information you could need in the office. Both had really good local knowledge to help holidaymakers. Booked our Vineyard ferry tickets for us.

Our room (8) was large, clean and comfortable. Location is fantastic even without a view as the harbour is 2 minutes walk. Main street is the same in the other direction.

The breakfast was great - toast, cereals, pastries and drinks.

Would recommend the Seacoast to anyone. We loved every minute. Also, Cape Cod is beautiful.
