Owner description: Wander through an open field and enjoy a memorable view of the historic Paine House, with the broad estuary of the Ipswich River extending beyond.
Reviewed 15 October 2013

Taking a walk to the Paine House (1694) at Greenwood Farm, is like taking a walk back in time. The trail to get there is beautiful and when you come upon the bright yellow clapboard house with white trim, one almost wants to go inside and enjoy a cup of tea. Upon reaching the house, the view of the marsh is striking! Keep an eye out for blue herons and egrets!
