This was my second stay at the 1760 Peabody Bradford and I can't wait to come back. The innkeeper, Jerry, is most welcoming and attentive. The home is absolutely beautiful: an historic home, built in two different time periods, with a fascinating history. Situated between two historic towns, and close to the scenic Bay Farm Conservation Area, this house has a most unique charm, with beautiful gardens and lovely, private bedrooms. I especially enjoyed the private Victorian sitting room provided for the guests. Jerry is the most gracious and welcoming host I have ever encountered; I can't say enough good about him!!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are lovely.

This stately, historic private home offers several charming rooms with two twin beds. The rooms are spacious and the beds quite comfortable. Guests are provided with a lovely sitting room which boasts a large TV, shelves of books and magazines and the most inviting chairs/sofa. It is a beautiful home!

Though the house is at the end of a long country road, it is close to Route 3A, easy to get to and close to area attractions in Plymouth and Duxbury. In one room I did note distant traffic noise but it certainly didn't keep me awake!

Our host was a most gracious, kind gentleman who is a goldmine of historical information and stories. (Knows his sports, too)

Breakfast was simple-juice, coffee, English muffins or waffles- but the coffee was delicious and we were offered second helpings. So, simple, yes, but you won't leave hungry.

The big selling points here: beautiful, historical home; a warm, caring host; privacy and comfort. Affordable, too.

The 1760 Peabody Bradford Homestead is an ideal home base for history buffs taking day trips and those seeking quiet afternoons reading, resting, recharging. It has much to offer in a peaceful, gracious setting.
