Stopped with a group of friends for a quick lunch. What a great place. It is where the locals go. Great burgers and fries. Most don't know this diner is the site where Norman Rockwell painted his famous work of the policeman talking to the runaway boy. We didn't until we read one of the reviews. Wonderful food, great service, and great memories.

Joe's Diner has decent food, and even better prices. The service was quick and we were back on the road as we passed through Lee. Joe's Diner is in the downtown Lee area, and it appears to be where all the locals hang out daily.

As diners go, Joe's may just seem to be like all the others but there is a special quality to the place where Normal Rockwell painted his famous work of the Policeman talking to the runaway boy. And yes, that's Joe behind the counter...This incredible ambiance makes every bite of Joe's diner food special...don't miss it and check out the daily specials...they have been there since the diner opened!

Very small town feel, and way-old decor add to the charm of this little place. As a life-long Norman Rockwell fan imagine my delight to be able to eat here. The waitress was nice and adequately attentive. Our food was good, not fabulous, but considering we both had breakfast and coffee for under $10, it was above expectations and we left full and happy. We've been there on previous trips and would definitely go again if in the area.

We had breakfast at Joe Diner on a Thursday morning in mi-April. We were clearly the only non-locals in the place but we didn't feel out-of-place. The food was good, the service was quick, and the price was right.
