We were staying in a bed and breakfast in Lee for Memorial Day Weekend and came across the Salmon Run Fish House while walking around. I love seafood and so we decided to put our name on the list for a table. Because the restaurant takes reservations, getting a walk-in table took hours. If you decide to try out this place, definately make reservations during peak season. The woman at the hostess stand told us we could go to Moe's Tavern across the street for drinks while we waited. Moe's was excellent. They had an amazing selection of beers both on draught and bottled. After 45 minutes we went back to the Salmon Run and discovered there were still many people on the waiting list before us.
After alomst 2 hours, when we were about to leave to go to another restaurant, we were finally seated. The tables were very close together and the acoustics are very loud. I ordered Salmon and my husband ordered shrimp. He recieved 6 little shrimp and a small brown potato. We were suprised a how sparse the food was considering how much we paid. Almost everything on the menu is fried or baked in grease. There is a section of the menu for grilled items, but they come with cottage cheese and fruit as the sides with no substitutions. Who wants to eat salmon with cottage cheese?? My salmon was greasy and over-cooked, as were my mixed vegetables.
The majority of the clientele was in their 60s or older. I don't have a problem with this, but just be aware. If you are looking for a young crowd, this isn't the right place. Overall, we were unimpressed and will not return on our next vacation to Lee.
