We were staying in a bed and breakfast in Lee for Memorial Day Weekend and came across the Salmon Run Fish House while walking around. I love seafood and so we decided to put our name on the list for a table. Because the restaurant takes reservations, getting a walk-in table took hours. If you decide to try out this place, definately make reservations during peak season. The woman at the hostess stand told us we could go to Moe's Tavern across the street for drinks while we waited. Moe's was excellent. They had an amazing selection of beers both on draught and bottled. After 45 minutes we went back to the Salmon Run and discovered there were still many people on the waiting list before us.

After alomst 2 hours, when we were about to leave to go to another restaurant, we were finally seated. The tables were very close together and the acoustics are very loud. I ordered Salmon and my husband ordered shrimp. He recieved 6 little shrimp and a small brown potato. We were suprised a how sparse the food was considering how much we paid. Almost everything on the menu is fried or baked in grease. There is a section of the menu for grilled items, but they come with cottage cheese and fruit as the sides with no substitutions. Who wants to eat salmon with cottage cheese?? My salmon was greasy and over-cooked, as were my mixed vegetables.

The majority of the clientele was in their 60s or older. I don't have a problem with this, but just be aware. If you are looking for a young crowd, this isn't the right place. Overall, we were unimpressed and will not return on our next vacation to Lee.

Looking for a good spot for lunch for me and my two daughters (9 and 12), we happened on Salmon Run. Not very crowded on an off-season Saturday afternoon in the Berkshires, so we were seated immediately. The menu is nothing special, all the usuals, pricing seemed appropriate. Bar is also ok, with 3 good beers on tap (not just basic Bud or Miller, always a good sign for me). Waitress was great, obviously experienced and refilled water and soda quickly and graciously. Our food was prepared perfectly. My Blue cheese burger had lots of real blue cheese and real bacon, enough that it kept falling out! My daughters petite salmon was cooked perfectly. Tuna melt for my other daughter, also done nicely. Lots of fries, no skimping there, and very good coleslaw. All in all, very satisfying on all levels - food, service and value.

I saw this place on the Fodor's Berkshires guide. This restaurant probably has the best seafood in MA. Unfortunately I'm allergic to salmon so I could not try their house specialty - - the salmon. I did try the fresh grilled swordfish, fried lobster roll, shrimp and scallop alfredo, and mussels over linguini. The swordfish was cooked just right. The lobster plump and juicy. The alfredo sauce was not too heavy and the shrimp and scallops cooked perfectly. Every dish was great. The prices are reasonable, and you get a pretty good portion. For dinner you may want to call ahead to reserve. There was a huge line when we got there. It's not as crowded during lunch. You must stop by the Salmon Run if you're in the area.
