We arrived after a Tanglewood concert without reservations. The staff was accommodating and seated us as soon as possible. Menus we presented promptly, specials explained and questions answered. We ordered a bottle of Neibolo (sp?) that was fairly priced and delicious, as were our appetizers. The entrees were delicious too but pricey for the portion size. Our server, a lovely young woman from the Ukraine, was gracious and attentive. All in all I would have to say that while the meal was very good we probably won't be back. This is a shame since the atmosphere is outstanding.

My daughter and I had such a lovely meal here! Great atmosphere, great service. The meal was lovely and we left feeling like we had been treated like royalty.

What a disappointment. Menu was limited. Too hot for outside seating. While inside was cool, it had a damp musty smell that made it as unpleasant as outside.
The roll was hot and yeasty, delicious. But the butter tasted like margarine.
Caesar salad a total flop. At most local restaurants the lettuces are a delight, "just out of a garden" fresh. The romaine here tasted like it came from a pre- washed bag at the supermarket. The dressing was gloppy and bland. And the salad was flooded with tinned, chopped anchovies.
The osso buco, billed as the house specialty, was dry, stringy and bland. The accompanying risotto was over cooked and had an unpleasant congealed consistency similar to unflavored gelatin..
Service was slow, at one point the waitress was rearranging the wines on a central rack and ignoring my repeated attempts to get her attention. I left half my salad and two thirds of the osso buco with risotto, but she didn't bother to ask if everything was ok.
The final disappointment was the bill, 59 for salad and an entre with no wine or cocktail.

It had been a number of years since last eating here, but the food at Cafe Lucia was as good as remembered. We each had a pasta entree and shared a bottle of prosecco, and finished with a shared dessert. The pasta sauce on the ravioli was particularly good. The eggplant was tender and delicious. We are not in the Berkshires often, but when we are there next, we'll call ahead for reservations.

This is one of those places you regret having chosen the moment you sit down and see the menu. And after eating your mediocre meal, you feel even more upset when you receive the bill.
Six of us went for dinner, and each of us were terribly disappointed--two of us had to send our plates back because the food was undercooked. One sent her plate back because her steak was overcooked.
None of us mind paying a bit more for good food and service. However, if we pay a lot extra, and the food is poor, it's bad news.
