“Stay away”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 August 2014

One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed. Was late to make a reservation and only hotel with a room. Told me it was non smoking, but only because they sprayed the room to try and take away the smoke smell. The rate had increased from 69 dollars to 199 because it was the weekend and the last room to rent. Manager barely spoke English and was a poor representative of this chain.

Room Tip: Stay away.

The owners need to have more routers for the wireless internet. They need to have television sets newer than the 70's. The coffee has to be at least warm in the morning. There has to be spoons if you are going to offer cereal. I would reluctantly stay here again because it is the cheapest motel in Lenox. $60 for a single with tax if you use a hotel guide coupon you can find at the rest area.

Room Tip: Walk across the street to Price Chopper 24 hour store for groceries or a meal.

I wish that I would have read some reviews before staying here.

The front office smelled horrible and the staff barely spoke English. The room itself was even worse: several doors looked like they had been bashed in multiple times, furniture was worn-down, the microwave did not work (upon unplugging it from the broken socket sparks came out), there was a used condom wrapper in a drawer, there was a hole in the wall next to the crooked ac.

The breakfast was a joke. There was a choice between fruit loops and cornflakes or the cheapest kind of supermarket muffins, and the coffee had the color of tea.

Finally, they gave us a key with a different number on it than the number of the room that they told us to go to, which makes me wonder if they use the same keys for multiple rooms.

This is the kind of place if it were not in a nice town such as Lenox you would sleep with one eye open. All of the negative reviews here are correct. We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend because it was the only room I could get. English barely spoken, room smelled like urine, the lobby smelled like 40 years of cigs and curry. Bare bones "amenities," door looked like it was bashed in several times. Towels were discolored and dingy. Lukewarm water in shower. The final insult - this room should have cost $49.99, but it was $200. I will say there were no roaches or bedbugs I could see. They probably have higher standards. Sleep in your car before staying here.

Room Tip: Drive quickly in the other direction.

Rude, indignant front desk staff. The English language is not spoken here. Charged my credit card before I even arrived. Claimed they could not issue a receipt because I booked through Wyndham Rewards website. All you get is a confirmation when you book through Wyndham which is normal. You do not get a receipt until you check out of the hotel, issued by the hotel. This is ludicrous. As for the room, for $36:00 per night AARP rate the room was just about acceptable. Go elsewhere for just a few more dollars. Wyndham should pull this franchise.

This place is pretty sad and needs a lot of help. The room smells funky, the A C is barely working , the door locks don't work properly so we can't even get in and out with out help. The shower floor is spongy and has water underneath it...that thought just grosses me out. No one here speaks proper English so when you ask questions you can't even get a straight answer. Stuck here for three days and not looking forward to it....

I have stayed in hotels, motels, guest houses and bed&breakfasts all over the world, including South-East Asia. None of these have reached the depths of staff indifference that I experienced at the Knight's Inn. More of that in a minute.

The place is an absolute dump that needs the loving touch of a bulldozer. Many, if not all of the rooms have front doors with locks so loose that these threaten to fall off if you touch them. Forget about feeling secure when staying here. But why stay if you can avoid the dreadful experience of threadbare sheets, comforter, carpet - and pillows that were thin and hopeless when new .... that is, new when purchased in the Dark Ages. Don't even think about taking a bath - the plugs gave up working years ago. As probably did the TVs - so old that they weren't worth trying.

Want the free continental breakfast mentioned in their advertising? No, trust me, you really don't want what is on offer. You don't! Instead, eat anywhere else in Massachusetts. Want coffee? No you don't want that either!

There's no coffee-making facility in the rooms; and the "We don't give a hoot!" staff will probably ask you to make it yourself - using the small coffee percolator in the tiny two-table 'dining' room. But if you insist that they make the coffee, the staff member on duty will kind of get around to making it for you in twenty or thirty minutes time - during the advert break of the movies he/she is currently watching on a laptop computer. And will then probably re-use the only coffee bag in the joint and wring another two tepid cups of coffee out of it. Such will be left for you to collect ... if you're wise, you'll throw it away.

Not that the staff member gives a hoot. He/she wouldn't drink the muck and anyway. Besides, he/she wouldn't even notice, once more being glued to the laptop, watching some penny-dreadful tear jerker.

If you're a masochist, the Knight's Inn will make your night and do you in. Anyone else, stay away from this hell hole unless you own a bulldozer.
