“Good Value, Clean Room, Nice clientele”
Reviewed 28 May 2014

Very good wifi reception, excellent breakfast, clean but small room - named Helen. We didn't hear any noise from the street. Friendly hosts and fine clientele. Fine B&B. Will recommend it to our friends.

Thanks for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. While Helen is one of our smaller rooms, I too find it cozy and warm. I'm glad the noise from Main St. did not bother you, I find noise to be relative. We came from NYC, so I find Main St. quaint and tame compared to let's say Broadway or 5th Avenue. Yet, I know there are guests coming from more rural areas, or those that are simply light sleepers, unfortunately, I cannot control the flow of traffic, though that would be a wonderful skill to possess, be it in Lenox, or on the MASS PIKE! :) Thank you in advance for recommending our B&B to your friends, we appreciate any form of positive advertisement!

Best Wishes-

We really liked this place. Beautiful grounds, cozy setting, wonderful hosts and awesome breakfast. My only (very small) negative was that we picked too small a room (Abilgail). It was also kind of noisy because we were so close to the breakfast room and the sitting room. The bathroom was also tiny. That being said, we definitely want to go back. When we return, however, we will inquire about getting a bigger room that is further away from the "action". It was really a wonderful weekend.

Room Tip: As mentioned earlier, the Abigail, although charming, is a small room very close to the noise.

Thank you for the nice review. I'm glad overall you enjoyed your stay in the Berkshires and with us. While Abigail is not one of our smaller rooms, as it has a King size bed and 2 sitting chairs, I can see how it feels small. Abigail's trade off is having a King size bed and a small sitting area at the expense of a small bathroom. Perhaps if you have a chance to come back you can give us a ring and we can discuss with you the various rooms and their best attributes to find you the perfect fit! I personally prefer when guests call in to book rooms vs. the computer that way we can truly find out their needs, for example: do they want a bit more privacy, do they wish to be in the main house in case the weather is fickle and do not wish to walk outside to come for breakfast, do they wish for a room with more light, or a room, etc.? Finally, I must boldly agree our breakfasts are AWESOME, I know I'm a bit biased, but I think most of our guests would agree with the both of us! :)

Clean rooms and meeting area. Beautifully landscaped. Kid friendly. Very quiet. Great variety and tasting food to accommodate all dietary concerns. Most importantly, warm friendly people! Owners are outstanding! So warm and accommodating.

My wife and I stayed at the Cornell Inn May 15 - 18. It is a beautiful property owned and managed by Tim and his wife Nell, who are wonderful hosts. Our room was "Teddy", on the second floor of the carriage house. It was private and cozy, with a little back deck with steps leading down to a small grassy area where we could take out our small dog. I have to agree with the other reviewers that the breakfast is exceptional. My wife raved about the banana pancakes, and the French toast is outstanding. The property is easy to find, and abuts a large wooded park where we could walk our dog. It is also within walking distance to the dining and other attractions in Lenox. All and all this is a great choice for a B&B in the Berkshires. Tim and Nell will treat you very well.

Room Tip: We were traveling with a pet, and I think the building we were in was the "pet quarters"...

Thank you for taking the time to review our B&B. I'm glad you had an enjoyable time in Lenox and at our Inn. Yes, our chefs prepare some amazing meals, we are very fortunate to have them as part of our team. Kennedy Park is an amazing place for humans and canines, we are so fortune it is just a few steps away from the Inn.. I think it is great that our guests can choose to take a stroll to town or a hike for miles within the trees all a few feet from our Inn. We hope to see you again for another visit!

Best Wishes-
Nell

Stayed here for a long weekend and leading up to the trip, Tim and Nell were both very helpful in planning day trips and meals prior to even booking with them. At arrival, we were greeted kindly by Nell and were almost given the wrong room due to another guest having the same last name as myself which was fixed immediately. Breakfast was great with quite the selection of baked goods, eggs, french toast, and sausage with fresh coffee and fruit. Our room was very comfortable and good in size, as was the bed. Plenty of places to visit and shop and eat very close nearby as well. We had a great trip and a large part of that was where we stayed!

Room Tip: stayed in Martha and was very sizeable and not as close to the road as other rooms were which was ni...

Hi! I'm so glad you had an enjoyable time with us and during your stay in the Berkshires. What was the likelihood, that two guests would arrive at nearly the same time with the same last name?? AAAH, anyhow, thanks for being so patient as I switched you to the correct room.
Lenox is a great little town for noshing, shopping, a bit of hiking, and relaxation. We hope you come back for another visit!

From the moment we arrived we knew we were staying at a place that was warm and welcoming. The inn takes you back in time in décor but has the amenities you expect travelling today. The room was good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional with a good variety including incredible almond French toast and homemade muffins. While we came in mid April I could imagine how beautiful it must be once all is in bloom. It is well located and accessible to many of the area's attractions. We will definite return and spend more time with Tim & Nell.

Charming Inn with 25 or so rooms nestled into hillside on one of main roads coming into Lenox. Beautiful outdoor deck for breakfast dining. The food was outstanding including blackberry muffins and amazing French Toast. Also dog friendly.
