My wife had business meeting here and i tagged along. I thought that I was going to spend the morning sitting in one of their very nice lobbies, working on my computer. Problem was, their internet was down - - not just the wireless, even the wired connections.

The GM saw that there was a problem and arranged for their van to drive me to a nice cafe in town, where the wireless worked, and they had good food and coffee.

I loved this little spot in the Berkshires. The tavern had great food, the spa was one of the best I have been to and the quality of the hotel room was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. I will absolutly return next winter because of how close it is to skiing and all the amenities of the resort.

One small week stay at Cranwell in 2010. Overall a bit disappointed about the resort, as it is kind of old and worn out. Apparently this varies a lot depending on the building you are in, but the general feeling I has was only half positive. Without being dirty, my room was greyish and not very welcoming. It felt like going back in time, not in the good way. Service is decent however and the spa services are very good.

We are pleased that you had a positive experience with our spa and resort services and appreciate your taking the time to share your feedback. We continually strive to improve the appearance and comfort of all the facilities at Cranwell and have recently undertaken several refurbishment projects. New chairs and furniture have been added to some of the public areas, guestrooms have be carpeted and many have new drapes. Additionally, our 10 cottage suites are slated for an entire refurbishment.

Spent a long weekend, taking advantage of the serenity Sunday package (a good deal!). Because we wanted a king bed we were limited to the mansion, which is the gilded age building where the restaurants are located. A bit dated inside - we had a large room (206) that looked out on the rooftop hvac units and it sometimes smelled musty or like food. However, the spa and indoor pool were great. Nail services and yoga classes were not the best I've ever had. If it were summer, I'd stay at an inn like the Applegate or the Devonfield, but if it's cold and you want an indoor pool/spa, this is the place - try for a room in the newer buildings.

The fact that you can use the spa facilities before you check in and stay all day after you checkout, makes an overnight stay seem like a 3 day getaway. The place is always immaculate and the food served in the mansion for dinner it top of the line. The grilled goat cheese salad is to die for. We stay at the Cranwell 2-3 times a year and have never had a bad experience.
