Stayed here once during late fall and was a little disappointed with the room. Bed not great, a little smelly but price was right. Gave it another shot this past July and was very pleased with their new bedding, and upgraded linens and toiletries. Room was on the first floor of the main building which felt more hotel like then the motel rooms facing the parking lot. Nice view of the meadow/pond.

Room Tip: Ask to face the meadow not the parking lot.

My husband and I needed a room with two beds in Lenox as we were being joined by our son. The quaint and charming inns either were booked, wouldn't have such a room, or would be extremely expensive. So I started looking at the motel-style options in Lenox and read about the Yankee Inn. What appealed to me was the fact that it offers rooms in its main building that have interior corridors. The room we chose also faces the rear of the building, which is nicely landscaped, quiet, and private. Our room even opened onto a small patio with two chairs. The room itself was attractively decorated and clean with nice bedding. Furnishings included a desk and mini-fridge, and there was plenty of space to spread out. Breakfast is included with the room. It wasn't the quality that you'd get at a Lenox inn, but again, it was far better than the standard motel breakfast. Options included fresh fruit (oranges, apples, bananas) and bakery pastries. An omelet station is set up on the weekends, and the eggs are cooked to order. The staff was welcoming and helpful.

Room Tip: Ask for the ground level in the main building overlooking the rear yard.

From the outside the Yankee Inn looks like your typical highway motel. That's where the similarity ends. First and foremost, the staff is exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The premises are spotless, from the grounds to the guest rooms. While the rooms are average in decor, the beds are very comfortable, there is a flat screen TV, armoire, upholstered chair as well as a desk and chair. The bathroom is complete with all the amenities (shampoo, lotion, etc.). There are two swimming pools, one indoor and one outdoor, as well as a hot tub. There is a small lounge/bar on the first floor and a breakfast room on the second floor where complimentary continental breakfasts are served; on the weekends there is an omelet station. All in all, a great property and one we would definitely want to stay at again.

After staying in an airbnb and a 'quaint' motel in Williamstown, it was a relief to stay in a motel that was up-to-date (this is the section to the right of the reception area as you face the reception area from the outside), well-equipped with outlets, good wifi, and a desk, and quiet (despite being on a major road). The room with two double beds was spacious. The beds were comfortable. Everything worked and there were no dubious exercises of taste to worry about. It's just a standard middle-American motel. The staff were obliging and helpful.

Calling the area Lenox is a bit of a stretch, since it's not in the attractive area of Lenox but midway between Lenox and Pittsfield. We got a very good deal through Orbitz and we were upgraded, both of which no doubt increased our pleasure. Breakfast is free, which is the only thing about the breakfast that is satisfactory.

Room Tip: Ask for a recently updated room.

We travelled from NJ to see a family member perform at a local theater in nearby Pittsfield MA. Since Pittsfield was rather boring and unremarkable we stayed in Lenox which is a very pretty town and only a few miles away. The more well-known B&B's were extremely pricey and so we settled for the more affordable Yankee Inn. For the rate we paid we definitely received good value but don't expect a high level of New England charm. It is very much a well run hotel/motel that is clean and with a helpful staff. And the breakfast on the weekend is very good! I would gladly stay again --unless I could find something with more charm at a semi-reasonable B&B.

Room Tip: Stay at the main building as it is much more convenient to amenities than the outer buildings. And...

Visit the Berkshires each summer for camp visiting day. Normerly stay at Hampton Inn but at last minute stayed at Yankee Inn. Very clean, excellent service a small lounge for a drink after a long day was welcome. Free hot breakfast on the weekend. We will stay here in the future.

Spent two nights here over the 4th of July weekend in the main building - very expensive but typical for the location of convenience. The room in the main building was recently renovated … and we had a room in the back with a view of the mountains from a nice deck. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were too soft and lumpy. It’s located on the main road, which means driving into Lenox, but the location is convenient to Tanglewood and all the other attractions of the area. A free breakfast is included, but it was nothing special and the room was so crowded we opted for breakfast elsewhere. Free wifi was included. The staff was great … very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Choose a room in the main building in the back with a view of the mountains.
