So my husband and I are 27yo, and we stayed here this past Saturday night. We arrived late, and the girl covering the front desk was nice to recommend some local places to eat. It’s close to the highway and easily within 10 minutes of quite a few options. The pool is rather small but thankfully open later than most hotels. The hotel and room is very modern, which we both appreciate the simplicity (our house is decorated with a good amount from Ikea). No drawers, which is fine considering we were only there for a night, but there is a small closet offered and a few hangers. Our tv clicker didn't work consistently, sometimes the tv picture never came on and just the sound, or the buttons had to be pressed really hard so we just gave up on it. The ac unit is loud enough to wake you up. Coffee, small fridge and safe is a definitely a plus. But the bed is uncomfortably hard and we both woke up with backaches, and that’s when we could sleep considering after midnight there were females shouting up and down the hallways, most likely drunk considering the conversations taking place. The walls to the hallways must be pretty thin considering you could hear everything, and since after 15minutes the shouting didn’t stop and they weren’t just going to go to their individual rooms we had to call security. We did hear another visitor during that time open her door and ask them to please be respectful of people sleeping but the group just got louder and started slamming doors, etc. Thankfully, security arrived within 5minutes and broke up all that was going on and seemed to linger around, too. We were on the 4th floor facing to the parking lot and the view speaks for itself, but the curtain panel in the room didn’t work that well since sunlight comes in along the edges pretty easily and there is no easy way to sleep in. Check out is thankfully later than most places (noon). So during check out the guy asks how our stay was and we responded that “it was okay”. He asked why and if anything they could have done and we informed him it wasn’t so much about the hotel but more about the late night rowdiness and maybe thin doors/walls. His response to that was along the lines of “oh that sucks, but well you remember that we were all young and been those people at some point in our lives”. To me, that basically said two things…I don’t look 27? And that I must have been the drunken rude type before once in awhile? We just walked away and weren’t going to start anything since we were visiting family in the hospital (our purpose of this trip), but I’d like to just say that sure I’ve been drunk, but no I have never been the disrespectful type and been in those footsteps but thanks for making such a statement and how you made the guest feel on the final note.
